The screen isn’t very good quality and the mouse randomly freezes a lot

I have had the pleasure of using this Alienware 15 laptop over the past few days and overall, I am very impressed with the performance when it comes to my everyday tasks, such as handling office products and teams meetings, and also with my gaming sessions of playing some Call of Duty Black Ops 7. The Nvidia RTX 5060 did pretty well but struggled a bit when I set everything to Ultra settings. I would classify this overall as a mid-tier gaming rig, but high-end work performer laptop. Battery life is pretty good as well for a laptop such as this and it may not last you all day, but it will get you through most of it with ease. Also you have a good number of USB ports (two A and two C), a HDMI, Ethernet, and a 3.5mm headphone jack as well. Design and Build: The laptop is built entirely of plastic, featuring a flat black finish that attracts fingerprints, but is easily wiped down with a microfiber cloth. It is sturdy and has a low-key design for a gaming laptop, so it won’t stick out too badly at the office meetings. Portability: It is relatively portable, weighing approximately 5 lb on its own and if you bring along the 180W power brick, that figure jumps to about 6 lbs. You do have the option to charge via USB Type C, so if you have a 100W brick that supplies that, you can have a smaller travel option, just don’t expect to play high end games with that lower power option. Keyboard & Input: Features a single-zone white backlit keyboard with 1.3 mm of travel. The keys are a bit cramped due to the inclusion of the 10 keys on the side, but I really like keyboards that include those, so I don’t mind the lesser space for the keys. The backlit keyboard has three levels of intensity, and you can customize the lights using the Alienware Command software that enables the AlienFX lighting for control over that. Specs: This laptop has the AMD Ryzen 200 Series R7 2060 with 32GB of DDR5 RAM and a Nvidia RTX 5060 GPU with 8GB of dedicated video RAM. This is a good pairing for power, performance, and price in my opinion, a good bang for your buck if you will. Upgradability: The laptop features only one *M.2* storage slot and comes with a single stick of 32GB RAM, adding additional storage can be done, but it’s not the easiest route. If it had a second M.2 slot, then I think that would have been much better. Screen: The 15.3-inch 165Hz panel looks good to me, but it does have mediocre brightness (300 nits), so using this outside is not the best ideal if you are out in direct sunlight. Indoors, its perfectly fine though and I had zero issues with that. The 16:10 1920x1200 display is a great ratio for laptops as it provides more vertical space. Overall: The Alienware 15 laptop offers decent battery life, quiet fans, good cooling, and while this won’t replace my current gaming PC, it is a great option to play games on the road. I also would have liked to see a second M.2 slot for more storage space and a SD/MicroSD card reader, but this is a lower priced Alienware device and it is a good option to join that club if you wish and I think its great for them to offer this option now.

To begin with this is my very first Dell Alienware type of pc or laptop ever except for they're monitor's which I like more than any monitor I have owned but this is about the laptop I now have in my hands which is the Dell Alienware - 15.3" 2K Gaming Laptop - AMD Ryzen 200 Series R7 260 2026 - 32GB Memory - NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5060 8GB - 1TB Storage. Firstly I'm very impress with how fast I got in my hot big hands and yest my hands are big. I was in all actual fact expecting it to be a month or so down the road due to the things going on especially with the wildfires going on near by. I'm somewhat impressed with how it was packed and shipped the box it was shipped in was poorly packed with very little stuffing to protect the box the laptop came in as when the driver delivering it handed it to me after singing for it I could feel it shifting along with hearing it thump inside the box it was in thankfully there was no damage to the outer box or to the box the laptop was in. I was in fact amazed to how the laptop was packed in the box it was in it was in fact very well protected in it so that's a major plus in my books for Dell the attached pictures ill show that. As for the laptop I'm very impressed with how easy it is to setup due to the following, it picked up my network fast when I was trying to bring it up so I could put in my network password to download the drivers needed, it even went quickly to doing the OS setup before letting me do the driver updates which I have done way before the OS on any of my PC's including the ones I have built myself. Once the OS finished setting up it went to putting in the drivers needed from Dell and what got me was that most of it went real smoothly (meaning I didn't have to do much except for getting the BIOS done even though it was at first done automatically I always go to the manufacturers website to see if there is a newer version of it which there was and downloading it along with the flash putting it in was so easy to do I didn't have to put it on a flash drive to do it . Once the setup up was done I installed one of my go to games and a browser to check things out as for browsing it's fast on the download of the browser and installing. It's fast with browsing which it a major factor for me when I'm looking up things. As for the downloading of the go to game I thing we all know how slow a large game can be at times my go to game is Diablo 4 which I use to try out new PC's and laptops which is around 75 gig for base game and 137–143 GB if you include the high-resolution texture assets. The latter is what I downloaded and installed on this laptop and it took at the most 5 to 10 mins via WiFi with was fast to me compared to being hardwired like my PC which takes around 15 to 20 mins which is still pretty fast lol. The install was quick and the game plays really smooth at max settings. After all of the good things and the bad things I have heard and read about Alienware for laptops and PC's I'm more impressed with everything I've seen in my own personal experience of now owning one the pros I have been talking about already the only con's that I have seen with this particular laptop is the fact the keyboard RBG goes to sleep to quick when idle and there is no setting in the OS or the Alienware software to stop it from doing so at least from what I can find or see then the only other con is this the Alienware Icon on the back of the laptop or the lid of it has no RBG what so ever which is a small disappointment but it is what it is. With all i have said even with the two con's I give this laptop the five stars and would give it more if I could but hey it's BestBuy's website not mine but all in all I will say this to anyone who wanted to get a Dell Alienware laptop its a 100000% get it (please forgive me on how my desk looks in some of the pictures)

I've spent the last few days testing the Alienware 15, and overall I've been really impressed. I used it mostly for gaming, but also for everyday stuff like browsing, YouTube, Discord, and some multitasking while gaming. The first thing that stood out was how solid the laptop feels. It has that premium Alienware build quality, but it doesn't feel overly bulky or heavy like some gaming laptops. The keyboard is comfortable, and the overall design looks clean without going overboard on the "gamer" aesthetic. Gaming performance was excellent during my testing. The RTX 5060 paired with 32GB of RAM handled everything I played smoothly, and the 165Hz display made gameplay feel responsive and fluid. Whether I was jumping into multiplayer games like Destiny 2 or playing more demanding titles like Indiana Jones and the Great Circle, I didn't notice any stuttering or slowdown. I was also happy with how well the cooling worked. The fans definitely ramp up during gaming sessions, but temperatures stayed under control and performance remained consistent. Alienware Command Center made it easy to tweak settings to my liking. What I liked: -Smooth gaming performance -Fast and responsive display -Plenty of RAM for gaming and multitasking -Premium build quality -Good thermal performance Things to consider: -Fans get noticeable when gaming -The trackpad is functional but wasn't my favorite -Not a laptop you'll want to game on battery power for long -Premium price tag One small thing I wasn't crazy about was the trackpad. It works fine, but it didn't feel quite as smooth or effortless to glide across as some other premium laptops I've used. That said, it's not a huge issue for me because when I'm gaming, I'm almost always using an external mouse anyway, and I imagine most PC gamers are doing the same. After a few days of testing, I think Alienware did a great job with this laptop. It delivers the gaming performance I expected while still being comfortable to use for everyday tasks. If you're looking for a gaming laptop that feels fast, well-built, and ready for modern games, this one is easy to recommend.

Allow some time for setup as the updates during setup and then running Windows update took about 90 minutes. This is a great computer. Minimal bloatware is greatly appreciated. When you buy a laptop with more RAM, larger hard drive, faster processor and better graphics card it will last much longer. The Alienware is sturdy. It weighs about 5 lbs., heavier than most laptops this size. Specs: 32 GB RAM 1 TB Hard Drive 3.8GHz AMD Ryzen 7 260 w/ Radeon 780M 1920x1200 Resolution 165Hz Refresh Rate NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5060 Graphics 300 Nits Brightness Ports: 4 USB, 1 HDMI, 1 USB-C (charging), 1 headphone jack I always use a mouse so the trackpad is not a concern. The numerical keypad is a necessity for me as it allows wider use for business. A gaming laptop should be multi-functional – who wants to tote 2 laptops? Keyboard placement is good, maybe a little of a reach for my small hands. The system is air cooled and worked very well while gaming. Performance was excellent for gaming with no discernable lag time. The battery works well for regular use but you will need to plug in fairly soon when gaming. Graphics were excellent for me. I am a casual gamer so my standards are different than very serious gamers. You can change settings to customize your preferences. A little tweaking and you will be all set. Very happy with this laptop and highly recommended.

Lots of power packed into an under $2000 gaming pc! I'll go into the specs, 15 inch screen, 32gb memory, 1tb ssd, amd ryzen 7 260 processor, nvidia geforce 5050 graphics card and the high quality craftsmanship of the alienware look and feel of a high quality pc. The display hd looks great and pairs with the nvidia geforce 5060 graphics card to make gaming seamless and easy. I'm a gears of war guy and the graphics and gameplay look great and play great on this computer. With 1tb of ssd everything clicks and flows so much faster than your typical computer you will never go back to anything besides ssd again. For gaming though, my biggest gripe is always going to be more storage, and i feel most gaming pcs should be 2tb or more. This computer is perfect for gaming, videos or every day tasks for someone wanting to upgrade their computer, go to school or run big programs like photoshop that need the power to make work and school easier. Kinda reminds me of my older dell computer so not too much that makes it standout from your typical pc concerning looks, but the alienware symbol always feels high end when i see it. Love the light up keyboard and the fans flowing from the bottom dont get too loud when you kick it up a notch. Highly recommend for all groups and the price point is great for the features it has.

Beautiful graphics, fast processor, and a good battery. However, serious gamers will have to keep it plugged in to get max processing power.

Bought this laptop for my daughter, who is a Computer Game Graphics and Design Major as an upgrade from her old laptop. The 32gb and 1tb runs all her software demands super quick and there's no lag in the graphics. Heat dissipates from the top of the keyboard as well as the bottom keeping the laptop cool and the fans are quiet.

I bought the laptop for 1,512 dollars and I am super satisfied and happy with my product. The pc doesnt really overheat too bad, but it gets a bit loud sometimes. I ran the new Assassins Creed Black Flag on max settings no problem. The only thing to keep in mind is the graphics card only has 8GB of memory storage, so some higher-end games might not be able to run to the max. Im super happy with the purchase because it was a big upgrade and I got a good deal on an alienware laptop.
