My review is a simple aspect version. I uses to build computers as a teen in the early 2000's. I was away from it for several years and I can't even catch up with everything now. I was just looking for a top tier gaming PC. I walked into Bestbuy and this bad boy was on the open box shelf. It was a demo model for the floor, but they remodeled and didn't need it anymore. Great deal, so I brought it home. I have always had mid tier PCs that would run newer games on low to medium settings. Defintley had some lag on multiplayer. Thos computer will play anything I have thrown at it on Ultra. It is nice and smooth. I have never had a gameplay experence be that graphical and smooth. I play games such as Hell Let Loose, GTA5, Ghost Recon Wildlands, Forza 5, and American Truck simulator. I can play online with no lag at all. This computer to me is amazing. Yes.. Alienware gets a lot of hate. However, I remember as a kid, drooling over Alienware when I saw them in PC gaming magazines. It is awsome to have one, for me. I don't plan on swaping out parts, overclocking, or worrying about my FPS and if it aligns with the planets correctly.

It works perfectly! It turns on super fast, it is a very versatile PC that serves the same for video game lovers as for people who work with image editing and design programs.

I really like this computer. It comfortably runs everything bar new AAA titles max settings at 240fps runs fairly quiet being liquid cooled. My only slight gripe is mine didnt come with the rear wire covor. My word of advice is make sure you get the version that has the vents below the side panel (see image)

I ordered an open box EXCELLENT pc and recieved it with scratches, clumps of fuzz or cotton INSIDE the computer, and MISSING the keyboard and mouse. The grading sustem on this was not only off, whoever processed this return didnt realize the customer stole the mouse and keyboard. Thisbis ridiculous after spending then amount that I did. I aouldve happilly paid full price if i knew it would arrive damaged and be missing GUARANTEED items. Im waiting for customers service to reach out and if they dont make this right I will never again give best buy my patronage as ive been a loyal customer for years and spend money here for the guarantee of quality risk free shopping. Youd think id ordered from ebay with the quality i receieved. Im severely disappointed. The fact tht theres obvious debris inside the unit and scratches on the side panel (not smudges) is so ridiculous knowing how expensive this item is.

This thing sucks, horrible price to performance issue, ugly case, proprietary parts, parts perform worse than expected and is way over priced.

I actually would have rated this at 4.5 stars, but half-stars aren't allowed here, so I rounded up. I would have docked it that half-star strictly for Alienware's use of so many proprietary parts, which make this machine very difficult to upgrade in certain areas. However, I fully knew this going in to this purchase, which is why I rounded it up. I have owned this machine for exactly two months now, and honestly I am very happy with it. The use of those specialized parts is this machine's biggest downfall, however since I don't plan on upgrading such a high-end machine, it's not really a problem for me unless one of those parts should break, requiring replacement. And some of those parts can only be replaced through Dell. However, this brings me to the next reason I score this machine so high, and the reason I bought this specific brand: My previous rig was an Alienware R5, which also used proprietary parts. That R5 rig performed flawlessly for almost 7 years, needing zero warranty work. The only thing I needed to do was clean the inside every six months, but that should be standard maintenance for every computer. That R5 rig was still performing flawlessly right up until the day I replaced it with this R15. I only replaced it because after 7 years, newer games needed newer hardware. So, because of my previous excellent experience with Alienware, I decided to buy another one. Based on my previous experience, I believe they use high-quality parts, which is why they last so long. And so far, I'm very happy with my new one. No problems to report. This machine is super-fast and very quiet, even under load. The only thing I will say as a negative is that in the Specifications section of this page, it lists this computer as coming with a mechanical keyboard. Mine did not come with a mechanical keyboard. It came with a cheap membrane keyboard instead, which was disappointing.

This is the first gaming PC I bought, and it was a much better experience than I expected. I am able to play any current game with ease. The storage size is small, but it was trivial to add an extra M.2 Nvme drive. It may be more expensive than building your own, but it looks beautiful, specially with the light customization, and it is extremely fast, quiet, and reliable.

Had issues initially where the computer would black screen while gaming/downloading games, and the fans turn to 100%. Would have to hard reset the computer. Talking with Dell support helped me solve the issue, however it still happens occasionally. After a new update, it hasn’t happened since but I’m still vigilant.

It was good & fast but there are issues when it comes to the software side of it. Sudden crashes, slow boot ups, & lagging felt even when the only think you’re doing is opening up files folder.

I was apprehensive to purchase this due to the poor cooling design but honestly that doesn't become an issue for any practical use. I use this computer for extensive GPU intensive AI related work, which is much more GPU intensive than gaming. Pure and simple, no problems whatsoever with cooling. The only complaint is the BIOS update not being able to manually reconfigure the ram speed from the default 4800 to the maximum supported 5600. Looking forward to a new BIOS update so I can upgrade the ram in the future.

The Alienware Aurora R15 Gaming Desktop, featuring the 13th Gen Intel Core i9-13900KF, 32GB RAM, NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4080, and a 1TB SSD, delivers blazing-fast performance and exceptional productivity. With liquid cooling to ensure optimal temperatures, this powerhouse handles the most demanding games and applications effortlessly. Acquiring an open-box model made this incredible machine an even better deal, essentially giving me a Ferrari for the price of a Honda.

Computer runs very well. It looks a bit weird but the construction is Professional and it is easy to add any expansions you want. It is clear that a lot of thought and development went into this computer. You may need to look up how to take off the side panel, but once you know how to do it, it is extremely easy. The wiring is clean and easy to work with and everything is set up for you to take advantage of the unused slots. It also has room for future upgrades. The keyboard and mouse that come with it are serviceable, but quite cheap.
