Enjoy desktop gaming power on your Alienware laptop with this Alienware 452BBRG graphics amplifier, which supports most full-length, dual-wide PCI-Express x16 graphics cards. The 4 USB 3.0 ports provide room for additional accessories.
Q: Is this compatible with an X51R3 desktop?
A: Yes, the X51 R3 is the exact system I’m using it for. Bought a gtx 1080ti for it and it works great!
Q: Are these amplifiers compatible with the AW17R4 models?
A: Yes. I have an Alienware 17 R4 laptop with GTX 1080. I hook it up to the amplifier, which I installed a 1080 Ti, and it works like a dream. I haven't come across a game yet that doesn't run max graphics at 70+ fps.
A: No sadly it will not. The cable it uses to connect to a computer is a proprietary cable and port exclusive to certain generations of Alienware laptops. There are a couple other boxes out there that are pretty much the same thing as this but it uses a standard Thunderbolt 3 Cable that I've read some people having success with if a computer has Thunderbolt 3 and you can install the drivers. Most popular of which is the Razer Core which sadly BestBuy does no carry. And to answer your 2nd question yes this is an external graphics card enclosure. Included is the enclosure itself, the cable to connect to a computer and a power supply to power up the graphics card. Does no come with a graphics card that is something you must provide.
Q: i have an asus laptop will it work for my pc or is it only for alienware

Q: Will this work with an AMD Radeon Rx 11 Vega??
A: Yes. It’ll work with any graphics card I can think of. It’s big enough to fit even the larger cards, and it has its own built-in power for it.
Q: is it compatible for asus rog GL552v
A: Alienware only. They had the foresight to make an expansion port for external pcie devices with a proprietary cable. You have Esata options maybe, but those can be $500 to 1000.
