My first viewing of this classic on BluRay made me wish I'd seen it sooner. Having 14 Oscar nominations (like Titantic years later) when I read the history of this film made me appreciate even more. Will watch this several more times over the years. Bette Davis and Ann Baxter were superb as well as George Sanders.

Wow what a powerhouse of some great campy actresses
This review is from All About Eve [Criterion Collection] [DVD] [1950]

A classic back-stabber of a movie. There's a reason it set records for 14 Oscar nominations, and 6 Academy Awards (including Best Picture). The Blu-ray edition presents a great B&W picture transfer, and further upgrade than the DVD version. The 5.1 audio is very good, although remember this is from an original mono sound track (which is also included). There is some hiss in the quiet sections. There are plenty of extras, well above average in number and quality, but all appear to be standard definition. The movie may not appeal to all, but it is very well written and superbly acted. I would highly recommend the Blu-ray version of this movie. Especially since I was able to add it to the library while on sale. Highly recommended.

"All About Eve" is an old classic with tremendous performances from a stellar class. This is black-and-white and will be best appreciated by the types who love to watch Turner Classic Movies. Packed with great features that take a closer look at the film and Bette Davis's career.

This remastered edition high-lights the beauty of B&W cinema and presents an array of actresses and actors who are at the pinnacle of their profession, especially Bette Davis and Anne Baxter. You'll enjoy watching this classic to see, among other things, the settings of some famous movie lines, like "Buckle up, it's going to be a bumpy night." by Davis.

This classic has never looked so good as it does on BD. The film holds you in every scene. Every time I re-watch the film (this time it was too long a break from my previous view (on DVD)) I find both narrative and performances nuances that I would not have seen before.

Bette Davis and Anne Baxter both deliver outstanding performances. They should have both won Oscars for Best Actress & Best Supporting Actress but they both got nominated for Best Actress and split the vote allowing Judy Holliday to win for Born Yesterday (another great movie).

Snappy dialogue, great one liners, and a realistic and interesting plot are only a few good reasons to watch this movie the other is the cast: Bette Davis, Anne Baxter, George Sanders, and a young Marilyn Monroe..need I say more?

I'm not sure why I never saw this movie before, but I'm glad that I did. It is so good. Bette Davis is at her finest in this classic movie. "Buckle your seat belt. It's going to be a bumpy night!"

Sharp, crackling writing, a Shakespearean story, and a phenomenal cast anchored by Bette Davis and George Sanders make All About Eve easily one of the best films ever made. It holds up like few films do.

See this at least once. It's full of great lines and greater performances. A true classic in every sense. It doesn't get better than a ticked off Bette Davis.
I own over 2300 movies on Blu-Ray and DVD. I only add great movies to my library...and this is a great movie!

This is the movie that saved Betty Davis' career and started Marilyn Monroe's. Excellent story performed by excellent actors. A joy to watch.

Must see classic from the 50s. If you liked the mini series about her, you should buy this DVD.

A true classic. I saw this film in my class back in 2004. I loved it since. Was waiting for it to come on Blu-ray. Only problem I have as I do with a lot of old films is, there are no people of color in the film. Not one. And it's based in NYC.
