    Great antiwar film

    It's pretty amazing how this story and movie realistically portray the brutality and dehumanization of war. The film itself looks great for such an old film. There's an introduction as a special feature and a silent version of the movie with title and dialog cards. The movie was shot at the same time with a sound and silent camera systems. Apparently done for international release in non-English speaking countries.
