Clannad - InchMacallaInch. Celebrating the 40th anniversary of Clannad's 1985 album, Macalla (meaning InchEchoInch in Irish), newly remastered by Phil Kinrade at Air Studios. This 9th studio album became their first international success and marked a significant point in the band's career, showcasing a blend of their traditional Irish folk roots with a more mainstream, pop-influenced sound. Building on the momentum from previous successes like, InchTheme from Harry's GameInch (1982) and their award-winning soundtrack for the TV series, Robin of Sherwood (released as the album Legend in 1984), Clannad was poised for a breakthrough in America. Macalla achieved this largely thanks to the iconic duet, InchIn a Lifetime,Inch featuring U2's Bono, which reached #5 in Ireland and #20 in the UK. The album features songs in both English and Irish, including InchCaislean OirInch and InchBuachaill On EirneInch sung in their native Gaelic. Remastered 2025. Available on marble color vinyl. Limited Edition.

Space Time Continuo is excited to present the ten Carolo sonatas in their first ever recording! Although the Carolo sonatas were written for smaller ensembles, the original edition served as a blank canvas to fulfill Space Time Continuo's mandate to feature the rich textures and wide soundscape possible in the continuo section. Sonatas XI, III, V and X were conceived with augmented forces and sonatas XI and III are actually new arrangements for 3 solo bass instruments and continuo. Sonata VI is performed with two bassoons, harpsichord and bowed bass (5-string low-pitched bass violin) but the other five are closer to what was suggested by the original 's title page Inchtwo solo bass instruments plus one continuo,Inch but with variation in the instrumentation of the solo voices and keyboard choice.

In 1972 when Planxty recorded this their first album Irish music all at once moved in an extraordinary and excitingnew direction! The magnificent body of traditional music compiled over many centuries changed it's wardrobe and soon wasclothed with new harmonies and rhythms bred of cross breading with input from contemporary constructs, foreign cultures, and instruments never before employed in the music like bouzouki, mandolin, and even hurdygurdys. The young brilliant musicians and singers who came together to form Planxty had already made a name for themselvesbefore - Andy Irvine, Liam O'Flynn, Donal Lunny, and Christy Moore. Together they weaved beautiful new arrangementconcepts that were luxurious and dramatic. And they set the stage for all the great new Irish bands that soon followed intheir footsteps, like The Bothy Band, DeDanan, and Solas, and so many others. Among the all time classic tracks on thistimeless album are The Jolly Beggar, Arthur McBride, Raggle Taggle Gypsy, The West Coast of Claire, and Follow Me UpTo Carlow. Seldom has there been an album released that has had such dramatic impact and such lasting admiration.
