About this product
By his words and actions, Pope Francis invites the global Church to a radically renewed personal encounter with Jesus Christ in the presence of everyone and everything we meet. The songs in this collection are a response to that invitation. They sing of the risk and the promise of encountering Jesus in the gaze of those we love, those we struggle to love, those we fear, those we don't understand, even those who have caused us or others pain. We pray these songs will anchor the joy of taking that risk deep within the hearts of those who pray with them, inspiring the work of healing wounds and creating a revolution of tenderness in a world hungry for mercy and thirsty for justice. -Tony Alonso and Jeanne Cotter. This music is one element of a larger work of story, song, and prayer available to parishes and communities wishing to reflect on and pray with the words of Pope Francis.

COWBOY TEARS - The new album for Oliver Tree, is now available on vinyl. This body of work sees Oliver carefully crafting a Inchcowboy emoInch aesthetic unlike anything you've seen or heard. Oliver decided to craft an album that was more focused and draws equally from the genres of alternative, pop and country, taking sonic inspiration from everyone from Sugar Ray to R. E. M. From the album's opener and first single InchCowboys Don't CryInch to the acoustic-based anthem InchFreaks & GeeksInch to the electronica-inspired experimentation of InchThings We Used To Do,Inch Cowboy Tears is social commentary disguised as saccharine pop-and what's most impressive is the way the album succeeds on both counts. InchI think one of my biggest strengths as an artist is the fact that I'm able to step back and see where there are holes in the pop-culture matrix,Inch Oliver explains when asked about his overall vision for Cowboy Tears.

The music of my father's Cuban homeland has been the language of my heart for as long as I can remember. These songs infuse that rich tradition with the unique sabor of my own experience as a Cuban-American in a distinctly liturgical shape that I hope will inspire others in their daily camino con Jesus. (Tony Alonso) Tony Alonso is a theologian and composer whose work is animated by the diverse needs of the contemporary church. A Cuban-American Roman Catholic, Tony's compositions embrace multicultural musical expressions and reflect a commitment to strong ritual song. His music appears in compilations and hymnals across Christian denominations throughout the world. Tony's Mass of Joy and Peace is one of the most widely sung Mass settings in the United States. In 2015, his compositional work was recognized with an invitation to compose the responsorial psalm for the first Mass Pope Francis celebrated in the United States.
