    • Continuous Watts x Channel @ Ohms: 500 x 1
    • Maximum Watts x Channel @ Ohms: 500W x 1 x 2 ohms (This is the maximum load the speaker, subwoofer or amp can drive.)
    • Amplifier Class: D (An amplifier's mode of operation, specifically the conditions in which its electrical current flows for the duration of an audio signal, determines its class. Each class has its strengths and weaknesses when it comes to power efficiency, levels of crossover distortion, and overall sound quality.)
    • Number Of Channels: 1

    • Bridgeable: false (Bridging an amplifier increases the power it supplies to the speaker(s).)
    • Low-Pass Crossover: Variable (Devices with this function allow only audio frequencies below a chosen cut-off frequency to pass through to a speaker or sound system. A device may have a cut-off frequency predetermined by its manufacturer (fixed), multiple cut-off frequency options to choose from (selectable), or have the capability for the frequency to be configured by the user (variable).)
    • High-Pass Crossover: None (Devices with this function allow only audio frequencies above a chosen cut-off frequency to pass through to a speaker or sound system. A device may have a cut-off frequency predetermined by its manufacturer (fixed), multiple cut-off frequency options to choose from (selectable), or have the capability for the frequency to be configured by the user (variable).)
    • Speaker-Level Inputs: true (Also referred to as high-level inputs. Enables the amplifier to receive a sound signal from another device that does not have RCA, or low-level, inputs.)

  • Audio
    • Number Of Channels: 1
    • Minimum Frequency Response: 7 hertz (Describes the maximum range of frequencies or musical tones a product can reproduce, from very low tones to very high treble tones. The minimum frequency or musical tone the speaker can reproduce. High treble tones have higher frequencies while low tones and deep bass have lower frequencies.)
    • Maximum Frequency Response: 400 kilohertz (Describes the maximum range of frequencies or musical tones a product can reproduce, from very low tones to very high treble tones. The maximum frequency or musical tone the speaker can reproduce. High treble tones have higher frequencies while low tones and deep bass have lower frequencies.)
    • Total Harmonic Distortion: 0.02 percent (Measurement of the harmonic sound distortion. The lower the percentage, the cleaner the sound.)
    • Signal-to-Noise Ratio (SNR): 75 decibels (The ratio of the desired signal's strength to the level of background noise. A ratio higher than 1:1, which equates to greater than 0 decibels, indicates more signal than noise.)
    • Bass Boost: Variable (Circuitry that boosts the bass response of the amplifier, improving audio reproduction enhancing the sound of low frequencies. Fixed boost means the level of bass response is preset, whereas variable boost allows the user to make adjustments.)

Q: will this amp be able to push two alpine type r 12wd 2ohm subs if i put one amp per subwoofer?

A: Yes it will. Very well at that. Honestly one amp would decently run both subs. But no doubt one per sub at 500w at 2ohms will hit hard.

Q: Will i get 500 RMS with one Alpine - 12" Dual-Voice-Coil 4-Ohm Subwoofer ?

A: If your sub has dual 4 ohm voice coils and you wire it in parallel to a 2 ohm load you will get 500 watts.

Q: what is the difference between the MRV-V500 and the MRV-M500

A: The V500 is a 5 channel amp that can be used for your interior and a sub. The M500 is a mono sub amp. Hope thats helps

Q: does this amp have a place to connect a bass nob

A: Yes, Alpine makes one. Other brands won't work.

Q: I got a mrv-m500 and then a 2 ohm dual voice alpine 12” sub.I believe I messed up in ordering the sub.Looking online now I’m reading i can’t get 2ohm giving me 500rms am i correct.What is my option only 4 ohm power?

A: Yup you have to run it at 4 ohms with that sub which will let your amp put out 300 watts. If you can return your sub and get a dual 4 ohm model I would do that. Or get another amp that's 1 ohm stable and wire your sub to 1 ohm.

Q: What are the best 12 inch subwoofers for this amplifier, 2 subwoofers i was thinking 2 ,12 inch Rockford fosgate P2

A: I would suggest two jl w3s or a single tw5, amp has the juice, you won't be disappointed,
