This amplifier fits the need for the everyday car stereo enthusiast. The footprint of this amp is SMALL. I installed this under my driver seat and used the kicker 8 amp kit. Now before anyone criticizes this amp does ask for a 4 AWG kit and I spoke with a rep at Alpine who told me that the kicker 8 AWG kit is just fine for my purposes especially since I was installing it under my driver seat. My reason for installing it under my driver seat was A) I did not want any aftermarket items showing in my car B) this also shortened the power cable requirements thus allowing me to use the 8 AWG kit. This amp is a powering a JL Audio 8in W3 woofer. My car is 2013 Honda Accord EX-L V6 Coupe. I kept everything stock as far as head unit and stock amp which powers my Polk Audio DB series component and rears. They sound great using the stock amp but I am sure better if I used a more powerful/cleaner amp. The JL Audio sub is in a custom sealed box which is mounted under the rear deck with the original sub removed. The entire rear deck, top and underneath have been sound dampened, the entire trunk including the spare tire well, has been sound dampened. The draw is around 300W RMS and this has been a VAST sound improvement over the stock "premium" sound system. The Alpine M500 amp never even gets warm and this is running for long periods of time, installation was a snap only took 25 mins to install amp (if you know what you are doing and do your homework on where to run your wires). This amp is truly a winner.

I like the amp but replaced a JBL amp because it failed. The JBL does have more power than the Alpine. I now have received the JBL back from warranty and both of them are now installed. If I had to pick or the other though it would be the JBL. Of the 5 amps in the car all but one are alpine which is never a bad bet.

This amp is clean and easy to install. The only wire I had to run to the trunk was the power wire. Since our 2014 Honda Accord coupe had a factory sub woofer, we just used that pair of wires at the factory sub and wired it directly into the amp. No line level converter or RCA cables needed. The factory touch screen subwoofer control works great with this setup. The line level input with also function as a remote turn on for the amp. No need to find and tap into power in the fuse box and run that wire to the trunk. Amp is powerful and runs cool, the crossover does a great job. The bass boost control is excellent. I am running one 15 inch sub with plenty extra power. I ran a #4 fused power wire and #4 ground, I have zero alternator whine or any thumping when turning the car on. Highly recommend this series of amplifiers. Great quality, features and value in its class.

Always have trusted Alpine products above most & this one does not disappoint. Have this powering one 12" Type S Alpine sub & get plenty of boom! It is a great compact size which makes it very easy to hide when installed & the power output is great. Not to mention how easy the installation & mounting process was. Highly Recommended!

Bought this amp to go with a 12" sub and enclosure I laying around. Installed it in in about 20 minutes and it sounds amazing! I ended up purchasing the bass control knob as well as I wanted to keep my head unit stock. This amp puts out more than enough power with plenty to spare! Really doesn't heat up much at all, small enough to fit under a seat or In the spare tire well in the trunk. Good build and great performance for the price.

Easy to install, doesn't overheat, and sounds awesome. Paired it with an Alpine 12" sub in my Ram 1500.

Great price, excellent brand name. I purchased because of its size. I wanted a stealth system in my Ram. With the subs there isn't any place for amplifiers except under passenger seat. It fit perfect with room to spare for another amp. Definitely 2 on stable even driving it hard in 100 degree weather. A+

Bought this amp and installed on the back of the backseat in my truck along with a subwoofer and box. Sounds great, performs very well and is very easy to hide. I also bought the remote and installed in my dash. I love it.

Easy hookup, with any amp tuning can take a bit, I do more tuning now from my Alpine had units preset eq based on what I am listening to, great amp, have always trusted alpine products!

Alpine lives up to its name. Small in stature yet able to drive a 12” dvc sub no problem. Not the deepest of bass but enough to feel it.

I can only recommend this alpine amplifier. Its clean crisp and great quality. I was looking at either JL or alpine. Thank god i went with alpine. Easy installation user friendly controlls. It pushes every bit it can as much as ur subwoofer or speakers can take. Energy efficient and it wont drain your battery. If you only have subwoofers then this class-d amp by alpine is the way to go!

Nice amp and small enough that you can mount anywhere in your vehicle and has the power and the versatility to use with any subs.

Bought this to add to last years model I previously had running both 10 inch subs,so I can run one amp per sub at 4 ohms.its smaller and poweris the same fits perfect on my box,now the power is sweet and doesn't het up at all,even running hard for along time.Well worth the money

Very nice amp. Looks good and sounds great, very powerful. I've got it hooked up to a dual 12 inch sealed wedge and wow!!

Don't let the size fool you. I had a lower end Boss amp pushing 2 infinity 10s and was not pleased. Upgraded the amp to this one and its night and day difference. Ended up switching it to a 12' alpine type s and it beats my trunk up. Easy installation and does not overheat.
