After holding out for years Alpine finallly provides a fully wireless solution. I replaced the factory unit in my 2005 G35 with this and it works and sounds great. The factory Bose system created some issues but was resolve. The Bose speakers actually sound better than before. Had to install an Alpine power pack to resolve a subwoofer distortion issue. Sync with iPhone SE is seemless. The only issue was adding an app. I added the CBS radio news app but it disappeared from the screen never to return. The options to customize sound are great. Siri actually works better using this unit than just the phone. Most of all no wires unless I want to charge my phone.

Alpine is the best aftermarket device you can buy. .... so smooth no dummy warnings when booting up. SirusXm app. I had a kenwood/Apple CarPlay returned it ... 2018 technology in a ten year old MERC Added kickers amp & subwoofers. Dual 12”. Wow. I get so many compliments. Better then I could ever have imagined.

Wireless CarPlay is the best and only reason I'd suggest for this stereo. I had the previous iLX-007 model, and this is essentially the same stereo just with the wireless capabilities added. There's also iDatalink Maestro compatibility (which does not work with my car) and a GPS antenna, but otherwise it's the same. The startup of the iLX-107 is slower than the the iLX-007, but nothing catastrophic. Usually about 10-15 seconds. I've had no problems connecting, however, and it stays connected. Only had one disconnect so far. It's been doing this strange thing where it changes the input from CarPlay to Aux to Radio seemingly at random, but I'm having the radio replaced and we'll see if that solves the problem. It's all mostly positive, and I would recommend it for iPhone users.

First of all, it looks amazing. Wireless CarPlay is the only reason I decided to even get CarPlay in my car. As soon as I turn on my car, my car instantly connects to my phone. I don’t have to plug it in or do anything extra. The sound quality is phenomenal, and with geek squad installation everything is working great! You might however want to consider getting a micro bypass and installing it yourself (Best Buy doesn’t install bypass) because the alpine head unit didn’t recognize when I was parked.

Looks great, sounds great, once paired blue tooth connects automatically (so long as bluetooth is enabled on your iPhone) when I start up the car. The touchscreen and interface with siri is flawless, and the microphone delivers clear voice for siri commands and phone calls. Installed in my 2007 Honda Pilot, a fantastic upgrade from the low tech factory radio. Bestbuy online said it didn't fit but confirmed at the store and said all was good with the right kit.

I purchased the Alpine ILX007 head unit that is Apple CarPlay specific in 2015 for my 2005 Lexus IS300. The integration with my iPhone and Apple CarPlay allows the use of hands free connectivity for phone calls, iMessages and requesting Siri to play my choice of Apple Music that I have access to flawlessly. I purchased this ILX107 FOR MY 2003 Chevy Silverado to replace a Kenwood head unit where I can operate it the familiar features that I have enjoyed in my Lexus. This unit operates identically as my 5 year old unit except it has the convenience of operating via Bluetooth or connected via lightening cable.

I bought this unit because it is one of the few head units that does NOT require your iPhone to be connected by a wire. I turn my car on with my iPhone in my pocket and I am connected shortly. It is perfect for my specific needs. When you connect for the first time, engage your parking brake. While depressing the driving break, disengage then reengage the parking brake again. It’s an irritating Alpine safety feature, but not that big of a deal.

I bought this to go in my 2008 Chevy Tahoe LT. It's worked very well so far. It's easy to use and syncs up with my iPhone. I have it set up to work with the buttons on my steering wheel (I had to buy an extra part for that to work) and its really easy to use. I can make calls, talk to text, listen to audiobooks, etc. The navigation is clear as well. I can also listen to regular radio channels as well. It's well worth the money.

Very pleased...My father had an older car that was not smart phone compatible. He does a lot of driving for work and needs to have hands-free capability. This integrated well with his iPhone he does not have to plug the iPhone in for it to use navigation etc. Apple CarPlay can be via Bluetooth. He has enjoyed it well and has a great sound clarity for him and for the person on the other end of the line.

Wow!!!! What a game changer!!! Easy install, easy setup, user friendly. I am using a iPhone X and it syncs to the unit effortlessly. It pretty much functions the same as my iPhone. I’d recommend buying the 3M VHB 5952 double sided tape though for the GPS antenna. The double sided tape it comes with will not withstand the inside temperatures of a car parked outside on a hot summer day.

Had this installed in my Mazda MX-5 and love it to death. No issues to report... the wireless CarPlay performs flawlessly, and configuration is a breeze. I have owned other Alpine head units and they continue to impress - great features and excellent performance. You won't go wrong with this one.

I was worried this deck would have a slight lag considering it’s completely wireless. Fortunately, it’s just as fast as previous models and even more responsive!

We bought this for our sons jeep and he loves it! 100x better than the factory radio. We didnt change the speakers and they sound great with it. Will probably add a sub in the back but so much better than before! Def recommend.

I have been an Alpine fan for over 20 years. I was disappointed in this previous model only to be told of the new wireless option with this 107. I am truly impressed with this system. Great job Alpine.

Bought this unit to replace the factory MyGig in my Jeep. Didn’t like the wireless connected AppleCarPlay feature, was kind of glitchy. But other then that, great stereo and loads of features.

Sleek and very user friendly as most alpine products are. Apple only.

I love this wireless carplay, but I hate that it does not stay on one app. If you have the gps running and decide to make a call you have to stay on the phone screen. If you are listening to the radio and open your phone the radio cuts off completely. Alpine need to update the settings.
