Since it's , the album has proven to be a seller over time, moving over two million copies in the U.S. alone. 40oz. To Freedom's sound blended various forms of Jamaican music, including ska (InchDate RapeInch), rocksteady (Inch54-46 That's My NumberInch), roots reggae (InchSmoke Two JointsInch) and dub (InchLet's Go Get StonedInch, InchD.J.sInch) with British and American hardcore punk (InchNew ThrashInch, InchHopeInch), and hip hop (as in InchLive at E'sInch). Double vinyl LP pressing of this newly-remastered 1996 album. Sublime is the eponymous third and final studio album by the ska punk band. The album was produced by Paul Leary and David Kahne. Sublime formed in 1988 in Long Beach, California by vocalist/guitarist Bradley Nowell, bassist Eric Wilson, and drummer Bud Gaugh. By the time it came to record this major tag debut, Nowell had been struggling with a heroin addiction. Sublime was recorded over a period of three months in Austin, Texas. The album's musical style contains elements of punk rock, reggae, and ska, as well as dancehall, hip hop, and dub music, with tempos ranging wildly.
