I've read some lame reviews but this washer is about the nicest washer I have ever owned. It is quite, it is efficient. I had an off balance issue but re-read the installation instructions and had to put a 3/4 inch piece of plywood strip under the front pads because my cellar floor sloped about an inch. It was so quite on the spin cycle I didn't think it was working. Auto sensing is a wonderful feature. This washer cleans everything very well. This is a very, very nice machine. All you hear are some clicks from sensors. I'm very happy. Buy with confidence.

I SAVED A LOT WITH THIS WASHER. IT MEETS ALL MY NEEDS. YOU CAN LITERALLY SET IT AND FORGET IT. YOU DON'T HAVE TO CHECK TO MAKE SURE THAT THERE IS ENOUGH WATER PER LOAD SIZE. THIS MACHINE TAKES CARE OF ALL OF THAT FOR ME WITH THE PUSH OF THE AUTO SENSING BUTTON. I USED TO HAVE TO MOVE THE CLOTHES AROUND IN THE WASHER SO THAT THE WATER CAN SOAK THEM AT THE TUB FILLS. NO MORE OF THAT. THE MACHINE ROTATES THE CLOTHES AS THE TUB FILLS. IT'S NOT VERY LOUD OR DISTURBING WHICH ALLOWS ME TO TO GET A QUICK NAP IN THE DAY OR A GOOD NIGHTS SLEEP WHEN ON MY LAST LOAD. BUT I WILL SAY THIS, I NOTICE A MILDEWY SENT COMING FROM THE MACHINE AFTER USING IT THESE PAST TWO MONTHS. SO YOU GOTTA MAKE SURE TO KEEP THE TUB WATER CLEAN. ALSO, I HAVEN'T NOTICED A BUZZER OR ALARM ON TH MACHINE TO ALERT ME THAT THE LOAD IS FINISHED. SO YES I CAN GET A GOOD REST WHILE IT WASHES MY CLOTHES, BUT I OFTEN TIMES FORGET THAT IT'S WASHING BECAUSE IT'S SO QUIET. NEED TO CHECK AGAIN TO SEE IF AN ALARM/ALERT SETTING COMES WITH THIS WASHER. PEOPLE LIKE ME NEED A REMINDER THAT THERE'S WET CLOTHES IN THE WASHER THAT NEEDS SOME DRYING. MAYBE LEAVING WET CLOTHES IN THE WASHER FOR A DAY OR TWO BECAUSE I FORGOT THAT I HAD ONE LOAD LEFT TO DRY IS WHAT'S CAUSING THAT MILDEWY SENT I SMELL SOMETIMES. BUT WHOSE TO SAY FOR SURE. HMM... BUT IT'S CHEAP, AFFORDABLE, AND DOES A GREAT JOB FOR IT'S VALUE PRICE. I'M PRETTY PLEASED WITH THIS PRODUCT!

This washer is perfect for doing laundry for up to 3 people. At first, I ignored it because I thought the capacity would be too small for my needs. I was wrong. I was a lot of towels. Once I use a bath towel, I refuse to use it again without washing it. Come laundry day I have a load that's nothing but towels and this washer handles it just fine. I was frustrated searching for a washer and dryer set because of all the reviews about HE washers not submerging the laundry. My parents bought my grandma an expensive large capacity washer that always left the clothes dirty for the same reason. I decided to get the cheapest set so that I wouldn't be as disappointed if it performed like junk. That problem has only happened once and it was my fault. I place a wide brimmed sunhat I with my a load of clothes and a good portion of the brim was sticking up out of the water. I've washed that hat multiple times since without issue. The solution? Fold the hat in half gently and put in in first instead at the top. I live in a warm region and use the 'tap cold' setting on almost all my loads inluding whites. I'm very happy with my purchase. This is probably the first time in my life that going cheap has paid off. I don't need buzzers or bells to tell me the load is done because I hear the washer stop which makes it obvious that the load is done. Also, it washes loads in less than an hour and spins them so dry that no load requires more than 40 min on high heat in the matching Amana dryer. The noise level is just fine. Makes about the same amount of noise as the Speed Queen commercial washer at the apartments I used to live in.

10/17/17 Purchased from ColumbusGA BestBuy for my mom -- Installed by Geek Squad (thanks Tom & Ross). My Mom says: I peeked into the back of the truck when the GeekSquad arrived and our machine was the only MadeInUSA washer (I saw at least 3 other washing machine boxes besides ours). Very easy to use! Buttons are pretty low tech. Easy options for washing, so not overwhelmed by too many choices. Wash water temperature choices: tap cold, cold, cool, warm, hot. (I wash a lot of things in hot, my daughters choose warm most of the time.) All cold rinses. Water level choices: auto sensing & extra rinse, auto sensing, deep water wash, deep water wash & extra rinse. I love the high efficiency low detergent use. I kid you not I use one Tablespoon of Arm & Hammer OxiClean per load and clothes are CLEAN! Nice, quiet machine (compared to our last Amana I inherited from my late mom which worked great for 17 years). Our water bill dropped about $8 to $10 per month compared to our old machine's water use. Haven't really noticed a big difference on electric bill. Every month or so I make sure to run the "clean washer" cycle with a cup of vinegar and hot water, to keep it clean. No complaints. Happy customer. (and if it keeps going for 17 years it will probably outlive me)

This was my first time purchasing a washer and dryer set and I could not be happier with my choice! I decided to pay extra for the installation and the best buy team worked quick to get my machines installed within about 30 mins of arrival. They tested both machines to make sure there were no issues with the installation and went on their way. While this machine is not quiet it is not as loud as some machines i have used before and it does not shake during the spin cycle. This machine will fit up to a full size comforter with easy and overall the cycles dont take too long to complete. Be aware that this machine does not have a fabric softner dispenser, you can buy one pretty cheap to install from amazon but it does not initially come with. If you are on a budget I highly recommend giving this a purchase.
