I've read some lame reviews but this washer is about the nicest washer I have ever owned. It is quite, it is efficient. I had an off balance issue but re-read the installation instructions and had to put a 3/4 inch piece of plywood strip under the front pads because my cellar floor sloped about an inch. It was so quite on the spin cycle I didn't think it was working. Auto sensing is a wonderful feature. This washer cleans everything very well. This is a very, very nice machine. All you hear are some clicks from sensors. I'm very happy. Buy with confidence.

I SAVED A LOT WITH THIS WASHER. IT MEETS ALL MY NEEDS. YOU CAN LITERALLY SET IT AND FORGET IT. YOU DON'T HAVE TO CHECK TO MAKE SURE THAT THERE IS ENOUGH WATER PER LOAD SIZE. THIS MACHINE TAKES CARE OF ALL OF THAT FOR ME WITH THE PUSH OF THE AUTO SENSING BUTTON. I USED TO HAVE TO MOVE THE CLOTHES AROUND IN THE WASHER SO THAT THE WATER CAN SOAK THEM AT THE TUB FILLS. NO MORE OF THAT. THE MACHINE ROTATES THE CLOTHES AS THE TUB FILLS. IT'S NOT VERY LOUD OR DISTURBING WHICH ALLOWS ME TO TO GET A QUICK NAP IN THE DAY OR A GOOD NIGHTS SLEEP WHEN ON MY LAST LOAD. BUT I WILL SAY THIS, I NOTICE A MILDEWY SENT COMING FROM THE MACHINE AFTER USING IT THESE PAST TWO MONTHS. SO YOU GOTTA MAKE SURE TO KEEP THE TUB WATER CLEAN. ALSO, I HAVEN'T NOTICED A BUZZER OR ALARM ON TH MACHINE TO ALERT ME THAT THE LOAD IS FINISHED. SO YES I CAN GET A GOOD REST WHILE IT WASHES MY CLOTHES, BUT I OFTEN TIMES FORGET THAT IT'S WASHING BECAUSE IT'S SO QUIET. NEED TO CHECK AGAIN TO SEE IF AN ALARM/ALERT SETTING COMES WITH THIS WASHER. PEOPLE LIKE ME NEED A REMINDER THAT THERE'S WET CLOTHES IN THE WASHER THAT NEEDS SOME DRYING. MAYBE LEAVING WET CLOTHES IN THE WASHER FOR A DAY OR TWO BECAUSE I FORGOT THAT I HAD ONE LOAD LEFT TO DRY IS WHAT'S CAUSING THAT MILDEWY SENT I SMELL SOMETIMES. BUT WHOSE TO SAY FOR SURE. HMM... BUT IT'S CHEAP, AFFORDABLE, AND DOES A GREAT JOB FOR IT'S VALUE PRICE. I'M PRETTY PLEASED WITH THIS PRODUCT!

This washer is perfect for doing laundry for up to 3 people. At first, I ignored it because I thought the capacity would be too small for my needs. I was wrong. I was a lot of towels. Once I use a bath towel, I refuse to use it again without washing it. Come laundry day I have a load that's nothing but towels and this washer handles it just fine. I was frustrated searching for a washer and dryer set because of all the reviews about HE washers not submerging the laundry. My parents bought my grandma an expensive large capacity washer that always left the clothes dirty for the same reason. I decided to get the cheapest set so that I wouldn't be as disappointed if it performed like junk. That problem has only happened once and it was my fault. I place a wide brimmed sunhat I with my a load of clothes and a good portion of the brim was sticking up out of the water. I've washed that hat multiple times since without issue. The solution? Fold the hat in half gently and put in in first instead at the top. I live in a warm region and use the 'tap cold' setting on almost all my loads inluding whites. I'm very happy with my purchase. This is probably the first time in my life that going cheap has paid off. I don't need buzzers or bells to tell me the load is done because I hear the washer stop which makes it obvious that the load is done. Also, it washes loads in less than an hour and spins them so dry that no load requires more than 40 min on high heat in the matching Amana dryer. The noise level is just fine. Makes about the same amount of noise as the Speed Queen commercial washer at the apartments I used to live in.

10/17/17 Purchased from ColumbusGA BestBuy for my mom -- Installed by Geek Squad (thanks Tom & Ross). My Mom says: I peeked into the back of the truck when the GeekSquad arrived and our machine was the only MadeInUSA washer (I saw at least 3 other washing machine boxes besides ours). Very easy to use! Buttons are pretty low tech. Easy options for washing, so not overwhelmed by too many choices. Wash water temperature choices: tap cold, cold, cool, warm, hot. (I wash a lot of things in hot, my daughters choose warm most of the time.) All cold rinses. Water level choices: auto sensing & extra rinse, auto sensing, deep water wash, deep water wash & extra rinse. I love the high efficiency low detergent use. I kid you not I use one Tablespoon of Arm & Hammer OxiClean per load and clothes are CLEAN! Nice, quiet machine (compared to our last Amana I inherited from my late mom which worked great for 17 years). Our water bill dropped about $8 to $10 per month compared to our old machine's water use. Haven't really noticed a big difference on electric bill. Every month or so I make sure to run the "clean washer" cycle with a cup of vinegar and hot water, to keep it clean. No complaints. Happy customer. (and if it keeps going for 17 years it will probably outlive me)

This was my first time purchasing a washer and dryer set and I could not be happier with my choice! I decided to pay extra for the installation and the best buy team worked quick to get my machines installed within about 30 mins of arrival. They tested both machines to make sure there were no issues with the installation and went on their way. While this machine is not quiet it is not as loud as some machines i have used before and it does not shake during the spin cycle. This machine will fit up to a full size comforter with easy and overall the cycles dont take too long to complete. Be aware that this machine does not have a fabric softner dispenser, you can buy one pretty cheap to install from amazon but it does not initially come with. If you are on a budget I highly recommend giving this a purchase.

This Amana washer is one of the best purchases I've made in a long time. Great quality, easy to use, quiet, auto sensing water level. This washer replaced a high dollar name brand washer I bought 3 years ago from Sears for 3 times the money, and has broke down 4 times in 3 years. Thanks BestBuy for the great deal.

in 2014 my Dad bought what I believe to be a refurbished Amana washer & dryer, or maybe it was new. At any rate by 2018 it was rattling and shaking violently, he even had to place a cinder block between it and the dryer because it would almost shake itself off the raised area it's on. This thing shook so bad it smashed up the plastic tub inside (I was finding pieces of the tub inside the drum and behind the washer), plus the bleach cup kept popping out. So this year I had enough and bought a new one. This one is nice and has Load Sensing feature. The buttons are different, but it's new and works great. It rattled once, and that was because I was washing a rug, and likely got unbalanced. I just wish they would design them to NEVER shake or put bumpers on the inside.

Washer is very good, washes clothes great, not too noisy and does not use a lot of water or electricity.

This Amana washer has performed great since we got it about a month ago. It’s an easy to use top loader. The auto sensing feature saves water, and the clothes are coming out clean and fresh. The price is very affordable when compared to the front loading machines with all the bells and whistles. We bought the 5 year warranty plan, which averages out to $20 per year. A small amount to add on for the Geek Squad protection. The free delivery helped pay for most of it!

Not bad for a cheap washer. It sometimes hesitates to start washing unless you open the lid again for a second time then the wash cycle will start. Its not suppose to be like that I am sure. It is a basic machine and wanted this brand to match my dryer. The repair man said less buttons the better so I took his advise when purchasing this. Bonus is it is made in America!!!

Good regular-sized washing machine. Very standard installation and doesn't weigh a ton. Fit perfectly in my laundry room. It doesn't make any weird noises, and it runs quietly. I haven't had any off-balancing issues, and the cycle times are pretty quick. It auto-senses how much clothes are in there, so there are no water level settings. The lid locks, but only rarely and can be opened most times.

This washer is perfect for home use, I love the water fill function fits perfectly in the space allotted for my apartment.

Works as expected. I wasn’t looking for all the bells and whistles to spend a fortune just to wash clothes. This machine gets the job done without breaking your wallet. Haven’t had any trouble with it being too loud or costly to my water bill either.

Item stop working after 2nd use. Stuck in wash cycle.

I repeatedly return to the laundry room only to find out the washer did not advance past wash. I have to move the switch to rinse/spin for it to complete the cycle, when this should be automatic. Called for help, kept getting transferred. Wish I never purchased it!!!

It operates well. No issue yet. Only issue is the dryer came dented once and washer came dented twice. Waiting for the replacement from best Buy. Anyway, Best Buy took good care of it. They offered me discounts twice for the trouble. So I feel not troubled at all. Only thing is don’t call geek squad for help in such issues. Go to the store and the staff is really helpful. I went to the Tucson Wetmore one because Geek Squad made my trouble worsened when it came dented for the first time. Save your time by visiting the store
