It promises cooling for 450 Sq Feet and that is exactly what I get. I'm very pleased with this unit and I like how streamlined and 'sexy' it is. Not bulky, not too noisy, and fits in my small apartment. I highly recommend. A second one in my space would probably cool the entire unit. And is a likely future purchase for me. Installation: In regular windows the installation items provided might work. My windows are sort of odd so we took a board to fit the window and cut a hole in it to attach the hose to. It was easy (provided you have the right saw) and works beautifully. I'm so happy and cool too!

Solid air conditioner for the price, pretty light weight and easy to move on the wheels. Easy set up, slightly loud but good power.

Southern California's heat & humidity has been brutal this summer. Loud as a fan but chills and dehumidifies 2 large rooms thoroughly and nicely. Gold metallic color is easy on the eyes. Super simple to set up:)

The unit works well in our cabin. We have hot water base board heating so needed something to cool about 700 square feet and so far it is doing the job just fine. We found this a good alternative to window air conditioners that would have to be removed every Fall and reinstalled every spring.

When the guy installing the unit was almosr done he noted that some parts were misding specially the one that closes the gap between the window and the window frame. He had to improvise this part and it added more time to his work since there were other units that needed to be done. It would seem that it does not take a lot of space to leave the unit on the ground but it need a minimum so that it could free to be turned if needed. Other than that it cools the room quite go enough. The real test would when there are more people in the room.

Easy install great product right out of the box , got this for my glass enclosed front porch so my wife with allergies and copd could sit and enjoy it since I remodeled it for her , this works fantastic and cooks quickly, it's quiet and very efficient , fast shipping actually got it the next day

Overall the unit has been good, although it struggles to bring the temperature down to around 68 degrees in my bedroom during the night. For some reason it just takes a while to get there. I wish the unit also had a more quieter setting. It's somewhat loud in the bedroom.

When my central air finally kicked the bucket after 27 years, this was a temporary fix until the unit was replaced. Worked well to keep the upstairs cooler but somewhat noisier than anticipated.

I needed a AC fast for my sons room. I came across this one and ordered it. It works great. Easy to use and set up. Highly recommended.

I purchased this for my grand parents and they love it It cools there place very well and its portable so no one has to take it in and out the window for them. I went to visit and their place felt very comfortable. There was one issue UPS delivered the unit to the wrong address. They left it on a porch of a multi unit apartment building. Luckily someone that knew my grandparents came and told them they had a package on their porch.

Easy to set up and use. Cooled the two rooms to a comfortable temperature in about 30 minutes. Never used a product like this before and impressed with how it cooled and lessened humidity.

This turned out to be a great buy for our family. We can keep the unit in one area or move it easily since it’s on wheels and has a window exhaust.

Works great and worth the price. Great alternative to blocking a window with a large window unit.

The Amana - 450 Sq. Ft. Portable Air Conditioner works well and isn't too loud. The vent tube is a bit brittle as ours broke upon installation, but Amana replaced it without issue.

Excellent unit for the price, easy set up too. Very happy.

I only have one window in my bedroom, this allows me to have air conditioning without giving up that window.
