This echo connect easily connected to my Acura, I was able to connect to the app, now I can control my whole automated house hands free while driving. My only issue is with the mount I wanted to add to my dash as the provided mount was not useful connected to my air vents. So I got some Velcro from EZ-pass location and mounted just like my Ez-pass. Amazon please consider a different mounting strategy.

Easy setup took less than 5min for me I like to read instructions. Paired easily with my phone and car, then only issue I have is sometimes it has a short pause/ cutout. Other than that I love it, always love listening to my favs on long drives without having to reach for the phone. Simple voice command and she starts playing your station.

Works great to access Amazon services but Amazon wants ALL your info. If you want to text someone they have to be on Amazon's list. It's very easy to call up music but not to call up Siri. My car is older so the bluetooth in the car is relatively primitive. I could receive telephone calls easily but making calls was downright dangerous, so I unpaired my phone. I ended up with two Bluetooth devices in my car, a microphone and speaker for the telephone and communication, and the Echo for entertainment. This Amazon Echo is attached to my audio line input and enables me to have some of the current streaming technology. It's not perfect but it's the best solution that I've found so far for my situation.

I bought 6 of this speaker and gave other to my friends. I want them to experience how nice to listen to the music while driving. The quality of sound brings you to your living room. I like the voice command, just tell Alexa whom you want to call. I got the echo dot on sale, the 1st one it cost me $21.19 and the rest $16.15 with tax. I am still waiting for clearance to buy more to be gifted to my love ones.

Was thinking about getting this device for months finally seen it on Best Buy deals of the day for a amazing price. Had read some bad reviews but actually it was easy to setup and works well. You won’t be disappointed.

Haven't had any problems using and set up was really simple, love the fast re-connection to my phone when turned on. Very helpful with music voice control, navigation and small tasks while on the road. The included mount doesn't work for my air vents but I mounted it another way so no problem.

If you're a fan of Alexa, this is a great way to get it in your car. I've tried other Alexa gateways, including using it directly from my phone, and the Echo Auto response more quickly and accurately. In addition, I don't have to leave my phone on and opened to the Alexa app. Echo Auto connects to my phone when I first turn on the car. It will work with my phone whether the phone is connected via Bluetooth or android auto. Either way, the sound is as good as if I launched Amazon music directly from the phone. The downside is in how it interacts with android auto. Whatever songs are launched via Echo do not display in the Amazon music playlist. That means they also do not display on android auto. There is no method to pause, skip, or otherwise interact with the song. Unlike Amazon music Echo does not yet support autoplay, a mode where Amazon plays next another song related to what was just played. Another knock is the mount: It connects to the vent only. There's no dash top mount with velco or adhesive. Your only choice is to block your airflow. While it's a good concept and decent execution, a few tweaks could have made this an outstanding product. Perhaps in the next iteration!

I love having an assistant in the vehicle for true hands free and distraction free driving. I purchased the Garmin speak a couple years ago and this functionally does better. I’m able to play any streaming music, use smart home products, routines, etc. My one negative on the product is its aesthetics. The device itself is a bit awkward as a rectangle, but more importantly how it’s mounted is limiting. You have to mount it to the vent, there’s no alternative and it looks clunky. The rubber piece that holds the wires in place fell off after a day so I had to super glue it back. Not the best mechanism, but certainly showing improvements from the Garmin Speak.

I purchased this product because my car does not have Bluetooth and I wanted to see if this would work. I had purchased different Bluetooth devices before off of Amazon and EBay but they would work for a few weeks then stop working. This product really has made it super easy and simple to connect my phone to play music, receive calls, and even provide off directions while driving. I would 100% recommend this product if you do not currently have a Bluetooth compatible stereo as long as your car has an auxiliary input.

The Echo Auto is great. I do a lot of long distance trips and it’s nice to just listen to continuous music. I can get news as well. Very easy to operate and what I most love about it is the navigation. I would definitely recommend for the cost.

like this Alexa device, I bought 5 of it, one for me, my sister, my uncle, my son and to my daughter. They like it too listening to free Amazon music, talk to Alexa while driving, getting directions, hands free calling incoming and outgoing calls, but sometimes it takes time to connect, you have to open the app first to connect and the quality is good because I didn’t remove it in my car even summer here in florida the plastic is durable.

So far we are really enjoying our Alexa Auto for us mainly because we have an older vehicle. Since it is equipped with a newer stereo we can now answer calls over the speakers and ask Alexa for info we need while on the road as well as access our Amazon Music, Sirius/XM and Pandora music services. Connect by Bluetooth or plug it into your car radio and connect to your phone with the Alexa App. You can check the time, weather, get your reminders and notifications, and clock alarms for the day, etc....While it's not a big deal the only thing that is a little inconvenient are the cords that hook it up. They can get in the way so they have to be managed. Once you get a system going and adjust for that it's fine. (We only had issues for power because of no USB ports or working lighter plugins.) We power it with a portable charger) Alexa Auto is very small (the photos of it can be deceiving) so it is very easy to store out of sight. I have a small drawstring bag that can hold the device it's cords and magnetic holder which attaches to front of the heater vent grill. It can fall off easily if bumped but otherwise stays in place well.

Excellent for 19.99, this small device has made my car so much easier to use. I ask my Alexa auto for directions, to call people, and to play my Apple Music all hands free. I love it and my only downfall is OCCASIONALLY it doesn’t connect and you need to restart it. It’s worth the small issues though, I think this is great for people who have an older non Bluetooth car or somebody who just likes having a voice assistant on the go.

I have installed this device in three different vehicles. So far, each has difficulty connecting the Alexa app with the phone on its own. However, if when entering the car, one starts up the Alexa app and clicks on the "I'm a passenger" button, it works flawlessly, assuming one has a good cell signal. It's great to have all the functionality of Echo in the car!

I got this after looking for easy options to connect my phone to the car via bluetooth since my 2009 Honda doesn't have bluetooth capability. Prior to this, I was using an Aux cable that worked well until the cable developed a short and then would only play on speakers on one side of the car. I wanted to eliminate the cable so I looked at bluetooth receiver options and happened to stumble across this Echo Auto while browsing in the store. The cost of this device isn't that much more than the better bluetooth adapter options so I decided to give this a try. I'm glad I did because this device hasn't disappointed. Even when playing music loud, the device can hear me when I give a voice command. The vent stand that comes with the device would work fine but I didn't want mine blocking the vent so I attached a magnet to the dashboard under my steering wheel so it would be out of the way and so the 2 cables wouldn't be as noticeable. Playing games with Alexa via this device helps pass the time while driving around town when I'm not in the mood for listening to music and I really enjoy asking what happened this day in history and getting to learn something while I'm otherwise occupied. Now I want one in our other car that has bluetooth capability just to bring Alexa along. The only minor issue I have is that when I'm trying to give a command right after leaving the house it takes a short drive before my phone drops my home wifi connection and shifts to a cellular connection. But this really is a very minor issue and is more of a problem for the phone than it is for the Echo Auto.
