Matt Blake (Brady) is forced to rely upon a group of ex-Confederates headed by Capt. Sam Prescott (Frank Gerstle) and Ramrod Keith Williams (Eastwood) to successfully complete his mission. Released one year before Rawhide, Eastwood was third billed in Ambush at Cimarron Pass, he was no longer a bit player, but not yet a star. Margia Dean co-stars with a supporting cast of Irving Bacon, William Vaughn, and Baynes Barron.
