great for budget, if you want a high end old chipset cpu.

Upgraded my 2700 Ryzen 7. Zen+ generation chip. This one definitely shows how far that AMD has improved the Zen formula. It absolutely runs. I even hit the silcon lottery and it will over clock itself to 4650. (not much but hey free perfomance). So far very pleased, just not used to the higher temps at idle and load.

I consider this an upgrade more then a sidegrade due to much more efficient and powerful architectural improvments, for example im using a msi trio 6800xt , i was still able to play 1440p just fine, but my gpu would never be maxed out and cpu would still be hitting 70 degrees and at times a bit more depending on the game and barely hit 4 ghz, sometimes just randomly crash as well during intense gaming... Now with the 5700x, temps stay consistently around 50 -55 degress, hit very close to max cpu speeds, higher 1% lows and higher average of course ,and gpu finally hitting max utilization due to faster and just overall better cpu improvements all around. No crashes due to gaming yet. Under 200 dollars definitely a good deal, oveer 200 not so much.

An absolute beast of a CPU! My computer feels a lot more snappy and everything is running at least 70% faster. East to install and overall offers a great price/performance upgrade.

Got this for a decent price to replace my 3600x without having to spring for a new motherboard and RAM. It still holds up and the performance increase is apparent. Def recommended if you don't want to deal with a new socket type and all the additional purchases that come with it. Just remember to update your BiOS with the most recent version while your old CPU is still installed.

This is a fantastic CPU for the price. It has most of the performance of the 5800x, but for less cost, and it runs cooler.

Absolutely love this CPU it gave me stable 144 fps in Fortnite when paired with a RTX 3050! Highly recommend coming from a Ryzen 5 this was a solid upgrade to my setup. It was a little scary putting it into my motherboard so make sure you know what you’re doing but other than that it works great

Fantastic for the price. Easily overclocked well beyond 5800x specs at lower temps and wattages.

Great value for the cost if on sale, though I kind of wish that the X3D had been available before I got this, as I probably would have gotten that version instead.

This was an upgrade in a PC that I'd built for my daughter three years ago that had a 2700X at its core. She uses it for video editing and gaming, and this CPU does those tasks faster than ts direct predecessor. Got this on sale, also, which sweetened the deal.

Ive got this paired with an ftw3 3070 gpu and its pretty great. got it clocked to ~4200mhz. Handles 1440p with eeez. Will do 4k as well, just might have to reduce settings a bit in game. Great cpu for my first build, im satisfied.

An excellent CPU. 8 Cores and 16 threads. Easy to use curve optimizer with an additional 50+ clock increase leads to a low temperature, stable PC.

Super efficient and stays cool under load. Great performer at 1440p. All around better buy than the 5800X non-3D.
