American Ultra - BLU-RAY

American Ultra is a fast-paced action comedy about Mike (Eisenberg), a seemingly hapless and unmotivated stoner whose small-town life with his live-in girlfriend, Phoebe (Kristen Stewart), is suddenly turned upside down. Unbeknownst to him, Mike is actually a highly trained, lethal sleeper agent. In the blink of an eye, as his secret past comes back to haunt him, Mike is thrust into the middle of a deadly government operation and is forced to summon his inner action-hero in order to survive.

This riotous all-star satire digs up the dirt behind a fictitious soap opera where the backstage going-on are even more outrageous than what happens in front of the cameras. Sally Field stars as daytime TV darling Celeste Talbert, who finds her life falling to pieces thanks to the return of an ex-lover and co-star (Kevin Kline), a devious plan hatched by a jealous actress (Cathy Moriarty), and more. With Whoopi Goldberg, Robert Downey, Jr., Elisabeth Shue, Teri Hatcher. 96 min. Widescreen (Enhanced); Soundtracks English Dolby Digital 5.1, Dolby Digital stereo, French Dolby Digital stereo; Subtitles English.

JP (Jorge Lendeborg, Jr.) and Camila (Jenna Ortega) were amongst the undocumented young adults rounded up by order of the governor and given the option of doing short time as live-in caregivers at a state eldercare facility. It seemed like a deal to grab, until it became apparent the residents were being subjected to unholy experiments... and that nobody would be checking out. Satirical shocker co-stars Eric Dane, Brett Cullen, Allen Maldonado, Bella Ortiz.
