About this product
2024 . On his eleventh studio album, Transmissions, singer-songwriter Lee continues to expand his sonic range while sharpening his closely observed lyrics that squarely address death, aging, and love. The force behind such acclaimed albums as Mission Bell and Mountains of Sorrow, Rivers of Song, ever since his gold-selling 2005 debut Lee has been known for his association with a long list of collaborators and touring partners, from Paul Simon to Zac Brown Band. For the new project, he craved a return to an old-school style of recording, working with his longtime band in a studio in rural Marlboro, New York that was built by drummer Lee Falco and his dad out of reclaimed wood from an old church (Inchit's exactly what you'd think a studio in upstate New York should be,Inch notes Lee). Playing live on the floor for long hours, in close quarters, they were able to capture the album's twelve songs in less than a week. InchI really wanted us to be all in the room, making music together, listening to each other and responding to each other,Inch says Lee. InchIn this age where you can do everything at home and fly it in, there's something really beautiful about getting in a room and starting at the top, the drummer counting in the song and everybody just playing. I would call it vulnerability.Inch

Before they become a proper band, Greenleaf began as a loose collective of friends making 70s-inspired hard rock and proto-metal. Led by guitarist Tommi Holappa, co-founder of European desert rock originators Dozer, various configurations of Greenleaf included members of Lowrider, Truckfighters, Demon Cleaner, Dozer and more. And despite the rotating cast of players, they managed to multiple albums of the highest caliber riff rock across the 14 years in their original unstructured form. Now, in celebration of the Swedish heavyweights' astonishing 25-year career and the stratospheric of their June 2024 LP 'The Head & The Habit', Magnetic Eye Records brings forth brand new reissues of three of GREENLEAF's iconic out-of-print classics, with new editions of 'Secret Alphabets', 'Agents of Ahriman' and 'Nest of Vipers' presented as sleek new colored vinyl editions and digisleeve CD.

2018 . Singer/songwriter Amos Lee says his seventh studio album My New Moon is Incha dedication... it's an offering - an altar of sorts to those who have shared their sorrows with me.Inch It is a product of profound human experiences; loss, grief, hope, healing, love, sorrow, and rejuvenation. Each track on My New Moon takes a journey through these intense and personal experiences. Opening track InchNo More Darkness, No More LightInch was rewritten entirely after the school shooting in Parkland, Florida, and speaks to the hope for change that lies in amongst tragic situations and challenges. InchLittle Light,Inch written for a young girl who beat cancer, is a positive message of spreading light for the world to see, even if you're facing hardship. InchHang On, Hang OnInch reflects the helplessness that comes after the loss of a loved one, InchCrookedInch brings to light the difficult and confusing times we've faced throughout history in America, and InchI Get WeakInch is a beautifully dark love song to something that might kill you, but you need it to go on living. The album as a whole reflects the darkness and the light that we all both experience and bring into the world, and how through these personal experiences and hard times, we grow more connected to one another.
