Amulets - Not Around But Through - VINYL LP

As THISQUIETARMY, Canadian Eric Quach (Destroyalldreamers) explores never-ending spectrum of guitar ambience and loop drone sounds. Hex Mountains encompasses thisquietarmy's sonic growth through his latest travels & encounters across the world. Touring & sharing the stages with monumental bands such as Year of No Light, Caspian, Om, Deafheaven or Russian Circles has definitely marked his desire to take it up a notch. In an attempt to follow that ambition, Eric Quach leaves the misanthropy aside and enlists the help of drummer Scotty Rooney (Alaskan), bassist Dorian Williamson (Northumbria/Adoran) and vocalists Émilie Bresson & Jeanne Peluard (Monarch) to add fresh elements to TQA's sound thundering drums, thick foggy bass and witch-like shrieks, while retaining thisquietarmy's signature drone-based soundscapes that remain omnipresent throughout the record. The collaborative sessions were recorded live in the Basque countryside and in various urban parts of Canada, then brought back together in the studio to extract it's essence, crafting as a result TQA's heaviest and darkest album yet. The epic guitar riffs, the explosive melodies and the uplifting beats will make you soar, but the creepy noise sorcery, the mental screams and the weighty burden will also make you want to throw up. From one peak to the other, climbing Hex Mountains is one hell of a trek. In line with the of this new album, Denovali Records will issue TQA's sophomore album Blackhaunter for the first time on vinyl. The music released as Amulet (or The Amulet Edition) is Peter InchSleazyInch Christopherson's semi-secret testament. Originally available in exceedingly limited quantities at live shows and via direct mail-order in 2008 as a hand-assembled 4 miniCDR set housed in a circular Thai Amulet case and never properly distributed, the material finally receives the wider re- on vinyl and CD it so richly deserves.

High Roller Records, ltd. 350, download card, new album 2025, Morax from Bergen in Norway is the brainchild of Remi A. Nygård, who is handling all the instruments himself and writes all the songs. He has been playing in various bands and projects for quite some time, the most important being the trash metal band Inculter, which has been active for more than ten years now. Morax's mini-album »Rites And Curses« was issued on High Roller Records in October 2023. It is now being followed by the first full-length album named »The Amulet«. InchAt first the record seemed to be mostly spread within the underground scene in Norway and usually amongst people I already knew,Inch describes Remi how the debut »Rites And Curses« was received. InchIt also had some reviews in different magazines around the world, where some reviewers really liked it. I think that started spreading it more outside of Norway. A few months later, around new year's eve, it ended up on some Inchbest of the yearInch lists, which came as a very pleasant surprise and boosted the album quite a bit.Inch Although Remi handles all the instruments on his own once again on »The Amulet«, he did got together a band to perform a few live dates InchI started gathering members at the start of 2024 with the intent of doing some live shows. After finding the right members, we ended up doing our first gig in June with Sabbat and Deathhammer, which was a perfect bill for a debut gig! The first show happened in Oslo, and a few weeks later we were doing another gig with Sepulcher in Bergen, which was also killer.Inch Usually I come up with some riffs, melodies or sections while jamming in my living room on my acoustic guitar,Inch is how the multi-instrumentalist approaches the songwriting for Morax. InchIf I feel that the ideas are good enough, I try to make a whole song revolving those ideas. I often struggle with finishin
