Angelo Outlaw has spent several decades perfecting his craft of mallet percussion. His unique style on vibraphone and marimba can at present only be described as dazzling. His musical endeavors have taken him across the country, as he has lived in Nashville doing session work and playing for marching groups in addition to performing and producing his own original material in his native Philadelphia. In 2020, Outlaw connected with fellow Philadelphians Eraserhood Sound, a record tag and production team specializing in a brand of music they dub Inchsynth & soul.Inch Together, the parties released the standalone single InchForgotten TomorrowsInch, an entrancing track that gained considerable support from local independent radio. The collaboration was so enjoyable for all of the parties involved, they decided to make a 7Inch together in the same style. The result is Time Traveler / Silent Horizon, a blazing hot two-sider that serves as the perfect yin and yang of moods. A side InchTime TravelerInch is a cosmic funk journey, replete with chimes, operatic vocals, and of course Angelo Outlaw's intricate vibraphone melodies over top an undeniable drum and bass groove. B side InchSilent HorizonInch is a contemplative slow-burner which, by it's conclusion, waterfalls into a hazy euphoria bolstered by group vocals. Ohio Players is an American funk band, most popular in the 1970s. The band formed in Dayton, Ohio, United States, in 1959. Observations in Time is the 1969 debut album recorded by the Ohio Players and released on the Capitol tag. The album was a regional hit in and around the group's home city of Dayton, Ohio. David Bowie included InchHere Today and Gone TomorrowInch into his 1974 live sets for the Philadelphia dates of the Year of the Diamond Dogs tour that resulted in the David Live album.On August 17, 2013, Ohio Players were inducted into the inaugural class of the Rhythm and Blues Music Hall of Fame that took place at Cleveland State University in Cleveland, Ohio.
