About this product
2024 . InchCape Forestier holds a really special place in our hearts - a chapter in the ever-unfolding book about the road we're traveling together. It feels reminiscent of our earlier records in terms of style; there's a real acoustic rawness to the sound. However, the songwriting and performances are naturally tied to the humans we are right now, with all the branches of experience hanging in there. We couldn't be more excited to share this music. It's been an incredible experience writing and recording these songs together.Inch

This is a prime example of collective improvisation without a roadmap, executed by a group of kindred spirits and like-minded daredevils who thrive on the extreme edge. With a core group consisting of Atlanta renegades and Aquarium Rescue Unit, Allman Bros. Alumni and current guitarist of InchThe DeadInch and InchPhil Lesh and Friends,Inch Jimmy Herring, bassist Ricky Keller and drummer Jeff Sipe (Susan Tedeschi, Jonas Hellborg), this edition of Project Z is augmented by keyboardist Jason Crosby (Robert Randolph) and alto saxophonist Greg Osby (M-Base co-founder and talent scout for Blue Note Records). They play it strictly in-the-moment with a no-hold's-barred approach that shifts from Boppish Swing to Slash 'n burn, from dense Noise-Thrash Freakouts to fragile, Zen-like moments of silence.
