Anti-Flag - Lies They Tell Our Children - COMPACT DISCS [CD]

2017 . Since unleashing their seminal 1996 debut Die for the Government, Anti-Flag has empowered and emboldened the listeners of two generations beset with a new millennium stricken by war, racial upheaval, and financial collapse. The Pittsburgh, PA quartet-Justin Sane, Chris#2, Chris Head, and Pat Thetic-have embodied a timeless punk spirit over the course of nine influential offerings, including The Terror State, For Blood and Empire, American Spring and American Fall. Anti-Flag is well known for politically charged lyrics and activism, focusing on anti-war activism, anti-imperialism, class struggle, human rights, and various sociopolitical sentiments. They are known also for their advocacy of progressive political action groups such as Greenpeace and Amnesty International. Most recently, the band has declared solidarity with the global Occupy Together movement.

After more than 20 years writing smash hits about smashing the state, Anti-Flag have compiled a comprehensive best of album. Aptly titled a DOCUMENT OF DISSENT, this collection houses two decades of material that thoroughly represents Anti-Flag's strong blend of music and message.

2015 from the Pittsburgh-based punk stalwarts. Anti-Flag have always had important, socially conscious messages to convey and musical statements they've been driven to make. That ethos remains intact with American Spring. The album's packaging includes essays, personal liner notes, and further information behind the driving forces of each song, detailing ways for us all to take action against injustice in the world. The American Spring is now!
