My first iPad was my iPad 2. For obvious cost reasons, I don't update my iPads as frequently as I do my other Apple devices. So after my iPad 2, I went to an iPad Air 1. It lasted well, but iOS 11 really slowed down the Air. I wouldn't be surprised if iOS 12 is the last version for the Airs. So when Best Buy had a pre-black Friday sales on iPads, I went looking. I found an open box, never used iPad Pro 10 with 256GB storage for $630. Since they retail for $799, that's a helluva deal! I was really surprised by how quickly this thing moves. I read that the iPad Pro 10's have 4GBs of RAM in them, up from the 2GB that the Pro 9.7's had. I'm guessing that my Air probably had 1GB or 512MB of RAM. This thing is like a speed demon. Animations are fluid and beautiful. The screen is just a bit larger than my old iPad, but it's still not gargantuan like the Pro 12. The refresh rate has been bumped up to 120MHz, so the video and animation is lifelike and rendered bright and beautifully on the 600 nits screen. If you're comparing the specs and features of the new iPads versus the Pros, you owe it to yourself to check out the Pros. Sure, they're more expensive, but the specs are much better and you also have the option of using the Apple Pencil. I haven't picked up the Pencil yet, but I have a feeling it's only a matter of time before I do. The Pros have enough hardware in them to essentially make them more future-proof than the Airs / regular iPads nowadays. Gaming is quick and clean with no frame rate issues. Here's a rundown of the Pro 10 specs that I think matter most: * 2.38 GHz Ax10 Fusion Chip (6 Cores) / M10 Motion Coprocessor * 12 Core GPU * 4GB RAM * 10.5 inch screen, thinner bezel on sides * 2224 x 1668 resolution, 264ppi, * 120MHz refresh rate with 600 nits brightness * Storage Tiers - 64GB, 256GB, 512GB

This is a good tablet. Apple has improved its system and it works faster than the original iPad Pro, but in my opinion the improvements are not worth the upgrade if you already have the ipad pro 9.7. The improvements arn't so noticable. I actually went from the 12.9 to the 10.5 and the improvements stand out more. For one it is lighter and easier to carry, it also works better for me as a book reader. Overall, it is worth the upgrade if you are looking to upgrade to an iPad Pro, but if you already have one, i would wait unless you are looking to upgrade due to available space.

I first had the iPad Mini and now have graduated to the iPad Pro. I love it. It is light weight, and it is super fast. There are lots of improvements in this version. I’m learning them a little at a time. They are really great. All improvements and enhancements make it easier to use and vital (at least to me) for everyday life.

Purchased as a replacement for a 1st gen 16 KB IPAD that simply would no longer function due to its storage limitation. Should not face that issue in the future with 256 GB of memory. Really easy to setup and have everything automatically transferred. Obviously it runs rings around the old one.

This iPad takes excellent pictures. It's very light in weight and I can't wait to start using its other features. Good move Apple!!

Purchased it for a class and it was perfect to take notes. Not bulky. Screen size it’s just right, very light weight.

Couldn’t be more pleased with this purchase. It can do just about anything you can imagine. The magic pen is a vital addition to this product and opens a whole new world of opportunities. Great for artists or just to mess around.

I am very satisfied with my I Pad Pro and am glad I purchased the magnetized keyboard to go with it. Not only is it fast, great detail , and easy to use. The keyboard folds over and covers the face of the I Pad.:)

I not only notice how faster it is as opposed to my iPad Air 2 but I see how fluidly it works with the apply pencil I bought for it

Why take photos unless you can see them come to life on a LARGE screen vs a small phone screen...No comparison! iPad Pro is the only way to go!
