I am not reviewing this iphone because I returned it without taking it out of the box. Was to be delivered on a Friday, did not come, Sat nor Monday. I had to drive 60 miles RT to retrieve the phone. And that was too late for me so, I returned it. I told BB from the start, within an hour of them processing the order that they had the wrong address. They said they would correct but did not. I had 3 chats and one phone call explaining the problem in time for them to fix the address but they said they COULD not change it. And FedEx said the sending is the only one that could change the address. NA.

Absolute worst experience with a Best Buy purchase ever! I’ve been a loyal customer for a long time and i was extremely upset about this, especially since they were of no help at the store. Tried to activate phone and Verizon said it was a non-payment phone. The Geek Squad person looked at me as if I had made that up. He said I have never heard of that and i said well let me explain to you what that means since the Verizon CSR explained it to me. It basically means Best Buy refurbished a phone that had not been completely paid off by whoever owned it last and for that reason, i could not activate it to my account. I proceeded to tell him that I had spoken to a Best Buy rep on the phone and they told me to take it in to the Geek Squad and they would fix it. Again he looked at me like i was lying to him. It was so annoying and ruse. The Geek Squad person then said that my only choice was to return it or pay $400 to get it fixed. Pay that much to fix something I had JUST purchased! Absolutely ridiculous! Not even the store manager offered to help or even apologize for this.

I read a previous rating that stated that they purchased a refurbished iPhone that was locked by Verizon. We ran into the same issue. When we tried to add it to our plan, the Verizon rep said the phone was locked due to non-payment. It could not be added to our plan. I went to Geek Squad and they said the same thing. Our only recourse was to return the phone for a refund. We asked to exchange phones but the only other refurb they had was $70 more because it was “unlocked”. Of course, it begs the question, “what did I purchase the first time?” **side note: we purchased this phone online for my son in college. Not only did he have to come back home but we live an hour from the nearest Best Buy. VERY INCONVENIENT!
