This is not the nicest looking phone case, definitely not the slimmest, and it does add some weight; but, if your goal is to boost the battery life on your phone than this case works really well and includes some additional benefits. I do not use this case everyday, only when I think I need the battery boost or the camera button (one of the cool features on this case). The camera button makes it super easy to snap pictures, as it is way better than having to touch the screen, especially in the winter with gloves on (most touch screen friendly gloves are not all that friendly), and having to click the volume button is not always the easiest thing. Trying to snap a picture with the volume button can require one to hold the phone in a weird way that can result with it falling out of your hands, might be a challenge if you use a ticker case, and it usually always results in part of my hand or a finger showing up when trying to take an ultra wide (0.5) picture - that is all solved with this case. A couple of other nice features are the shape/material, device compatibly, and charging. Yes, the case is pretty ugly; but, yet, the shape somehow works well in the hand and feels right. The silicone that the case is made of also provides a little grip (not as grippy as I would like; but, ok), and if the phone were to fall it will likely be ok, including the screen since the case lip around the screen is pretty adequate. The case also allows one to plug in other devices, and works issue free with Apple CarPlay; where some third party cases may have compatibility problems. The wireless charging also works really well. I suppose that another benefit is that the case battery gets used first, so in the long-run it might help preserve the battery in the phone, and also means that when the battery in the case drains, you can remove the case to charge it, while you use the phone (not that it is necessary; but, maybe a good idea if you happen to be traveling or something and want to ensure that the phone is alive 24/7). My only complaints about this case are the lack of color options - wish they had a midnight green color to match the iPhone 11 Pro. I know thatI said that the shape works well in the hand, and that the silicone is somewhat grippy; yet, the case is a bit heavy - so I wish it were easy to apply a phone loop or a phone strap to the case; but it isn’t. Because of the case having minimal openings (which I guess is good to keep dust out) and because of the hump, a phone loop does not work well. I was able to put in a phone strap through the tiny speaker holes on the bottom of the case; but it wasn’t easy to fit in the strap, plus I’m sure that if I remove it the holes might seem as if they were expanded. So suggestion to Apple - please add the ability to add a phone strap to the next design of this case. I’ve included some pictures comparing this case to other cases - it’s much thicker than a slim carbon fiber case, for example; but, not much thicker than a leather case, or a case with a pop socket.

Just received the case & first off let me say before you end up purchasing this case that it is a little bit heavy. Simply because of the battery that is built in to the case... that’s what you are paying for correct? Very nice design, has a soft material where the phone goes into, overall the case has comfortable grip as well. Has a built in camera button on the bottom right of the case for the phone to take a picture which is very cool. The button does not get in the way on vertical or horizontal use either. The case does have a little lip on the front to protect the screen in case of a drop. Very nice case & I do recommend buying if you use your phone on a daily basis or if you need a nice charge at a friend’s house or simply on the go, etc. I’ve read many reviews of people saying it’s a heavy case... it’s a battery case, the battery is built into the case. It is not that heavy.

Want to give 5 stars but this is the third case in a year and the soft cover keeps chipping off. Love the fact it uses the lighting charge cord. Easy off and on. Protection against iPhone damage is great. I’ve dropped on concrete several times with no phone damage. Side camera button is nice. Keeps phone at full charge almost all day.

I have been working from home since April and my cellphone has become my new office line. My battery was constantly dying or I had to have a cord always plugged in. No longer! The case really isn’t that heavy and you get used to it quickly. I dropped my phone in the parking lot today. Phone hit down and rolled once. Was almost certain the screen would be cracked. The case got a small ding on the bottom corner and I’m glad there was some protection there. So far I’m very happy!

I love the case its nicely shaped and it does give me a full 2-3 days of usage. The camera button is well located. The 2 stars are because best buy gave me the case in a cut opened box, see the pic for reference.

When I received the phone case. The inside of the box was dirty and looked like it was opened before.

A little bit on the bulky side, but the way it's shaped actually makes the 11 Pro easier to hold. It also adds some weight but nothing too drastic. This case alone easily gets me thru the day, and then once it's drained is when the phone battery kicks in and starts working, so you're powered up all day long. By it being a "smart" case it also won't hurt your battery if you keep this case on your phone all the time, because it only uses its charge when necessary. Provides good protection and well worth the price. I've had one of these cases on every iPhone they've made them for and never had a single issue.

I love this Apple case! My iPhone 11 could last for 3 days now before it needs charging again! Plus, the texture is so soft and easy to grip and hold without the fear of slipping off your hand! Downside of course is it's thicker and heavier in the pocket. But the purpose of having a back up battery outweighs the downside part of it. And plus, there's a button for easy and quick access of the camera! Now my wife would like to have one too for her iPhone X since it's compatible!

Apple-branded hard case / spare battery combo that is worth every penny! I don’t spare expense on my smart phone protection - to not do so would be a fool’s errand considering the monetary investment these days to own one. I’m already on my third Apple iPhone Hard Case + Battery Pack for a reason : it 100% protects your iPhone from all the errors humans make: the spills, drops, flops, etc. Don’t let that small amount of space between the case and the screen fool you; I’ve dropped my iPhone hard onto concrete face down and, after suffering a minor anxiety-inducing panic attack ad I expected a cracked screen upon picking it up, I immediately realized there wasn’t a scratch ANYWHERE. The age life of this product is several years longer than a third part version depending on hmu you use and abuse your phone. Which, naturally, happens a lot for most people. Having the extra spare battery (an entire extra iPhone’s worth of power upon full recharge!) saves incredible time and situations where my phone might’ve died otherwise without it. The one main “issue” is that this particular hard case/battery combo is heavier and bulkier than third party versions but that’s due to the comments I made above. I’ll take a small bulge in my pocket with the hardcover version of a tank plus van entire extra iPhone battery’s worth of power over a slim, not-as-sturdy version any day of the week. Plus, you’ll adapt easily and eventually that extra weight feels like nothing at all. Standing ovation to Apple design team for this product!

I travel a lot, and if you know the airport life someone is always occupying the outlets. I use an iPhone 11 Pro and this phone is phenomenal with managing battery life. I try to avoid being on my phone to begin with, but even so I can get over a days worth without charging. The smart battery case adds roughly an extra 9-10 hours of battery life with my use. Even though the mAh is smaller in comparison to other cases, software management makes it exceptional. I don’t use a case with my phone so to say the smart battery case adds bulk is an understatement, however, the trade-off is well worth it in my opinion. Folks complain about the case always charging the phone and would prefer to control when it does. I prefer Apple’s take on this and letting iOS manage. I encourage looking into what the case does differently on the backend to understand why that doesn’t matter so much. Check Rene Ritchie’s review on YouTube. The camera button is definitely a bonus. I take a lot of photos and can see this being exceptionally beneficially without having to utilize Haptic Touch on the home-screen or swiping left. A simple press does not activate the camera so wouldn’t worry about accidentally photos in your pocket or bag. A press and hold for maybe 0.5-1s activates the camera. Press repeatedly to take photos, and press and hold to take video.

The only reason I was reluctant purchasing this was concern it might add too much weight, or size. It is heavier, but weight hasn’t posed any issues. Same with size. It’s not significantly longer, wider, or thicker. The battery section is thicker, as expected, but it still fits well in a pocket. The primary feature of this is adding battery life. Let me say, I am very impressed! Beyond expectations impressed. Though I have not quantified the precise amount of added use, I’ve had many, many days when I was listing to tunes, emailing, messaging, snapping images, AND capturing videos on 4K all day and well into a night with zero concern about power. WELL worth the price.

It’s unfortunate that apple decided to move away from the style for new iPhones. I love this charger and it doesn’t slip off like the new one.

Great design! Much thinner, lighter, and high quality than other battery cases. It charges about half of the phone battery, which is more than enough. The added camera button is a good bonus, and the integration into iOS works flawlessly. Only reason I didn’t get it five stars is the super high retail price, but if you get it on sale like I did, totally worth it!

Nice battery charger. it has definitely recharged my phone on less than 5% fully, and still had charge left in the case. The case has a shutter button on the side, which makes it easier to take photos. The case can be charged by itself on a wireless charger, or with cable either by itself or while attached to phone. You can see the percent level of the battery, and phone by sliding over to the left on the battery widget. The only thing I don't like, is that there is no off/on switch. Sometime, I just want to carry my phone only (no purse, no nothing) in the case, but not have it on to save battery, but nope. Once case is on, it is charging the phone's battery. It is comfortable to hold. Considering I only paid about $30 on sale, I really think it is a good case. Will get another, if I catch it at a similar price.

This is a great case for heavy iPhone users providing you with two days of use. It’s a bit bulky at first, but you get used to it quick. The camera button is a nice addition and there is a delay when you press it so it doesn’t accidentally fire.

This case is great because it makes my iPhone easier to handle because of the nonslip grip and the fact that the phone is a bit thicker. The camera module is also well protected because the bottom half of the case is thicker than the top half so when it’s sitting down on a flat surface there is always space in between the surface and the camera lenses. The battery life is spectacular on this with the iPhone 11 Pro. Granted I am a light user, but I’m charging once every 4 to 5 days. This does wonders for extending the internal battery of the phone itself as it’s not incurring as many battery charge cycles.

I’ve had the smart battery case for the iPhone since the iPhone 6. Yes it adds a bit of bulk to your phone, but it is so reliable. I really appreciate the new feature on the recent addition for the iPhone 11Pro, having a dedicated camera button to snap quick images with is wonderful. No more using the volume button to snap a quick photo. Case plus phone I’m able to go at least a minimum 36hours before I need to re-charge. Best thing about this case is it’s ability to charge without the phone, for times when you may need it most. Using the same lightening charger as your iPhone, you won’t have to worry about extra cables. No cable, no problem as the case also charges wirelessly as well.

Did a great job keeping my phone charged. Just wish it had a way to turn it on or off rather than it just always charging the phone.

First, ill start with what I love about it, the battery life is incredible. After charging through the night and unplugging at 7:30, I get home with anywhere from 60 to 80 percent left on my phone. My biggest issue is how it slippery it is, it can fall out of your hand pretty easily and it's not very protective. I easily fixed this with a cheap pop socket. Another complaint is how hot it gets when charging, it doesn't hurt but it's close to it, would recommend keeping it face down and with nothing covering the back.
