Apple - iPhone® XS Max Leather Folio - Black

This product is really nice but I give 3 starts because there is no magnet to keep it close or attach to the phone and keeps opening and the material is really decible and scratches easily.

As usual, Apple's quality of iPhone case is superb. I purchased the black which has a very professional look. The case cover/flap slides around very slightly, not much, but it protects the screen excellently. This case is also very convenient (in case you forget your wallet) because it has plenty of room for your license and a couple of cards. Only complaint is that it is slightly overpriced.

Love this case. The price is very high in comparison to other comparable items but I got it with 2 other accessories to get 25% off. Love that the case locks my phone when closed just like my iPad Pro does. I’ve never had a folio case for my phone before. So far it will probably be my preferred design going forward. It keeps everything clean and concealed. Also has room for some cash or receipts and a couple cards. Really love the feel of the leather as well!

Got this case after having an otterbox folio. I liked the utility of the case. So when I saw this on sale I had to get it. The feel of it compared to the others I’ve had, is really soft. After having it for awhile now it got a nice patina to where it got a real deep color to where it now looks burgundy. The only thing I don’t like is, that unlike the otterbox folio, this one doesn’t stay close with magnets. Other than that I do recommend it.

I wasn’t even aware that the iPhone Xs Max was capable of using a closing case (like the iPad does) for auto-locking of the device. I immediately recognized the sound, though, the first time I used it. The iPhone also snaps into the back of the case and holds it firmly there, even if holding it by the screen cover. The leather “hinge” for the screen cover is also large enough to easily allow the screen cover to be folded completely back, even when using the two built-in pockets in the cover. The top pocket is sized to carry an ID (plus a couple of credit cards), while the larger pocket (under that) lets you carry (for the Max size) an unfolded US dollar bill. And, of course, all iPhone functions remain easily accessible, so I never need to remove the case, with the side buttons keeping much more of a “no-case” feel to them (the reason for which, I’m not sure). I’m upgrading from a 6s Plus (which I’ve had since it first came out), it finally dawned on me the ADVANTAGE of using the lower power 5 watt charger that comes with the phone The reason, for me anyway, is: Even though I know it can (initially) charge at a faster rate (by using a higher wattage charger), restricting it to 5 watts means that the iPhone (and therefore battery) NEVER gets hot, even if you leave the case on. By keeping the battery cool while charging IN THE CASE (and even after several months of use), my battery STILL reads as 100% when fully charged, and thus my battery “health” has remained at 100%! It hasn’t dropped by even ONE percentage point, going on several months now, so my phone keeps going for a VERY long time between charges, from 2 to even 3 DAYS! And, “I’m willing to testify under oath, before Congress, that the above is true.” (as I’ve heard people say to emphasize the truth of what they’ve said.
