  • Key Specs
    • Processor Model: Apple M2 (Your computer's processor is like its brain. Working in combination with system memory, the power of the processor determines the complexity of software you can run, how many programs you can have open at the same time, and how fast those programs will run. Most computers feature an AMD, Intel or Snapdragon processor.)
    • Storage Type: SSD
    • Total Storage Capacity: 256 gigabytes
    • System Memory (RAM): 8 gigabytes (Random-access memory (RAM) is a computing device's short-term data storage, which allows active information to be accessed quickly. The size and type of RAM determines how efficiently the device can handle large amounts of information at one time. For example, gaming or video editing requires more RAM for optimal performance.)
    • Graphics Type: Integrated (Dedicated graphics uses a separate graphics card for processing video images. Because it does not use memory from the system's RAM, there is no extra burden on the CPU and graphics are processed more efficiently. Integrated graphics shares system RAM to process video images.)
    • Graphics: Apple M2 10-core (Often referred to as a "graphics processing unit" (GPU), this device is responsible for displaying image content and decoding/encoding video content in programs and games.)

Q: How much storage space does this Mac mini have?

A: This Mac mini comes with 256GB of SSD storage.

Q: What operating system does this Mac mini use?

A: This Mac mini uses the Mac OS operating system.

Q: What type of cooling system does this Mac mini have?

A: This Mac mini uses an air cooling system.

Q: Does this Mac mini come with a keyboard and mouse?

A: No, this Mac mini does not include a keyboard or mouse.

Q: How many Thunderbolt 4 ports does the Mac mini have?

A: The Mac mini has 4 Thunderbolt 4 ports.

Q: Reading up on Thunderbolt vs USB. Most data speaks to Thunderbolt 4 vs USB-C however the specs for this Mac Mini states USB-A. Is this machine truly USB-A or is it C? If USB-A, why so far out of current standards for a brand new machine?

A: FYI: The USB-C 3.2 Gen 2 ports are not true 10Gbps ports. Even if you connect a fast NVMe installed in a good-quality USB-C 3.2 Gen 2 external enclosure you will only get the same transfer speeds as a 5Gb Gen 1 port. In effect, you should see transfer speeds of around 900Mb/s write and 800Mb/s read at best. Seems very misleading on Apple's part.

Q: Is it possible to hook up the Mac mini to a TV instead of a monitor?

A: Yes as long as the TV has an available HDMI input.
