A: No. The 2017 models don't use the M5 chip. They will have an i5 chip in them.
Q: Can I have further student discount of 125 dollars on the price of 1099.99?
A: We did get the student discount. But I had to call customer service to get a different code. The one listed on the coupon would not go thru.
A: This is the new one - and you have to sign up for a myBestBuy account, and use a student e-mail. Then at checkout, they scan your email coupon (I just had mine pulled up on my phone)
Q: Is this price with the additional $125 student discount?
A: the student discount is separate, you add it in as a promo code in checkout
Q: Can I buy this computer if I do not live near one of the stores that carry it?
A: I think a local Best Buy can order it from stock and have it in your local branch in a few days. You have to pay for it first though. When I bought mine, the local branch did not have one in stock and they ordered one in for me over their computer. It was delivered to the store in two days.
