I'm an average person who uses my iPad for a variety of tasks (mostly work), including note-taking, drawing, and editing documents. I'm not a professional artist or designer, but I do enjoy being creative once in a while. I've been using the Apple Pencil 2 for a few days now and I've really been impressed. It's a great stylus for both everyday use and creative projects.------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ DESIGN It has a sleek and minimalist design. It's slightly longer and thinner than the first-generation and it has a flat edge on one side. This flat edge makes it easy to magnetically attach the Apple Pencil 2 to the side of my iPad Pro. It's also made of a matte material, which gives it a nice grip and prevents it from slipping out of your hand.----------------------------------–------------------------------–------------------------------–--------------- FEATURES It is PRESSURE SENSITIVE, which means that the thickness of your lines will vary depending on how hard you press on the screen. I found this is great for drawing and sketching. It is also TILT SENSITIVE, which means that the angle at which you hold the stylus will affect the appearance of your strokes. This is also great for drawing and sketching, as it allows you to create different effects, such as shading and highlights. It also has a DOUBLE-TAP gesture that can be customized to perform different actions. For example, you can set it to switch between the current tool and the eraser, or to undo the last action. The pencil CHARGES WIRELESSLY by attaching to the side of an iPad Pro. I gave this item to my wife as a Christmas gift. Her review is as follows: I received the Apple Pencil along with an iPad Pro for Christmas. I love how easy it is to use. It magnets on to my iPad Pro to charge and store when not in use. Not only is it useful for tapping on the screen I have also downloaded a few free drawing Apps to practice using my new Apple Pencil. I can easily draw or sketch pictures. It is as easy to use as a regular art pencil. I am still exploring all the possibilities. The Apple Pencil has held the charge for as long as I have been using it so far. Photos show a few simple sketches I drew. You can paint, add text or other features with the Apple Pencil depending on the Apps you choose. I also found some art courses for drawing and painting.

I bought the amazing iPad Pro and you can not buy that with out the Apple Pencil. I love how it charges itself! Magnetically connects to the iPad! It’s super cool. The pencil is super light and easy to use. It’s Very precise when writing and detailed sharp while drawing or designing!! I love my Apple Pencil! A little costly, but it’s Apple! Quality is what you pay for. Don’t cheat yourself. Apple products are the best!

This Apple Pencil is such a great investment. I can’t tell you how many uses I have had for it; endless. Apple really brought the innovative design to the table for this item. The size is perfect and the shape is truly flawless. It feels as if I am back in 6th grade holding a real pencil. It is so convenient to be able to have the charging system integrated into the side of the iPad, as it can charge on the go. The ability to turn writing into text, (which I am currently using in notes to draft my review) is fantastic! I love all of the features that the Apple Pencil gives and that I can pair it with multiple iPads if I choose to. I do like the improved accuracy you get vs your finger. Got a new iPad so I needed this pencil It's a sleek and elegant stylus that offers precise and responsive performance. This product is so easy to use, it greatly improves my work efficiency. The Apple Pencil Mk2 does pair and charge easily via magnetic snapping. If you are planning to take notes on your iPad, this pencil is a must. I would highly recommend to anyone.

Absolutely love my apple pen. The Apple Pencil is a game-changer for writing and drawing. It writes smoothly with zero lag, making it feel like using a real pen on paper especially with the paper feel screen cover I bought. It’s lightweight, easy to use, and perfect for note-taking, sketching, or marking up documents. Handy and precise, it’s a must-have for iPad users who want to boost creativity and productivity.

This is just the best pencil option there is for illustrators using iPads, and probably, the first time I’ve felt an Apple product is worth the money. Having tested other pencils in the past such as the Wacom branded pen, I personally felt more comfortable using this one for long periods of time. Its design is elegant, minimalistic feels premium and it’s ergonomic compared to the first gen pencil which felt uncomfortable using it for long periods of time, and let’s not even talk about the old charging method. This 2nd gen pencil is very straight forward right out of the box, just stick it to the side of your tablet and it’s ready to use (must mention the magnet is strong so it won’t fall from your iPad). It also charges very fast (gets to 100% in around 5 minutes) and battery lasts more than enough for a regular drawing session. Nibs last for a good amount of time as well with the proper care and also if you don’t press too hard on the screen of course. I must note though, using any screen protectors like Paperlike will make your nibs wear off faster due to the texture of them being a bit rougher than a clear protector. Also, it’d be cool if one were able to add the pencil to Find My as I can add my watch and other devices. Being someone who draws outside of the house very often, it’d be nice to use that feature in case I lost it.

This will recharge on top of your iPad, and show a status bar of how much change it has with a visual at top of iPad screen. There is no status on the pencil itself. There also is no “find my” option for this pencil, which is why I accidentally threw one of them away. I bought this as a replacement, plus keep it in a genuine apple leather pencil case when charging or when laying it down to store. This prevents it from looking like a thin piece of plastic and winding up in the trash. Yes, this 2nd generation pencil is smaller than the original which the discontinued leather apple cover was made for, but it actually still works, and that solved that problem! This pencil is great if you want to create a genuine signature online instead of a blur by a finger, a good option for those who get arthritis in the pointer finger for touching the screen a lot to reduce inflammation pain, can be handed to someone else to use to sign or click something to avoid having their dirty finger wiping all over the screen, and also works well for doing online artwork if you download apps to do so. Many people will not need a pencil to do things on an iPad. But if any of that sounds like something you do, I recommend the 2nd generation. If you get it on Best Buy, sometimes it is even on sale.

The Apple Pencil has been very easy to use. Connects via Bluetooth, also charges via Bluetooth. It is ergonomically designed. No issues with the tip or charging. It magnetically connects to the iPad Pro and charges on it. I use a silicone cover for the pencil and have had no issues with it connecting or charging. I tried using a tip “saver” but that did not work too well. I have not used them since. I primarily use my pencil for use in procreate. It’s pricey But worth it. Overall good purchase.

Very precise, sleek, and worth every penny. It easily charges on the iPad and when disengaged, there is no lag time for use. I use it for anything that requires a more accurate touch.

Lighter than the 1st gen Apple Pencil. Love that it’s magnetic and charges without having to insert into the port, less risk of breaking. Battery life is amazing. I’m an artist and it’s definitely handy when using procreate to double tap and swap between drawing, erasing, and smudging. Only downside is that I inadvertently tend to double tap.

This pencil is amazing! I am currently in school and have switched to digital note taking on my ipad. I even use it to draw in my free time. Just make sure to purchase paper like, it is a screen protector for the ipad and it makes the screen feel like you are actually writing on paper. I even purchased a case for it that makes it look like a real pencil! Please go with the apple pencil, I tried a knock-off and it literally lasted 1 day.

Pairs really easy to the iPad and theres no worries about charging as it automatically charges once its magnetically attached to the side of the iPad. Personally I have no problems gripping the pen and it's super comfortable to hold, as well as use for drawing, and writing out notes for work/classes. Unlike the first gen, it has a matte finish with one side of the pen laying flight so that it easily connects to the iPad.

Okay, I honestly love this thing. I have been practicing with it, and I think the drawback is that I tend to make a lot of mistakes when I'm writing, so it doesn't know how to interpret my goofs/corrections as I'm writing, and this means some clean-up editing after the fact. I'm ok with that. I love that I can choose to write during clinical sessions and have it go directly into my online EMR notes. It's not perfect, but it is an improvement over typing during telemedicine sessions. It's so much more organic than typing. It's also fun to be able to draw and write in notes. I'm sure it has lots of uses, but my primary use is concurrent EMR clinical notes, and I recommend it for that if you're looking for a less annoying, more organic and connected experience for you and your clients during telemedicine sessions.
