Daughters high school graduation gift

Our daughter used Mabook Air M1 8GB ram, 256GB SSD for the past 5 years. It was fantastic in 2021, compared to Chromebook! She started having migraines from 13” screen and intermittent fails during her homework. The SSD was full, preventing OS updates She chose 15” for healthier experience and 16GB ram for speed. I really wanted to buy 1TB SSD from Apple Certified Refurbished store but it was $1349 and I had $300 on 5 Christmas gift cards. Apple couldn’t handle 5 cards but Best Buy was no problem. 512GB SSD Geek Squad refurb was $999, but under $800 with my gift cards. The unit was spotless and the battery had 15 cycles. It had some residual Apple warranty, otherwise BBY 90 days
