This is a tough review, firat if all this reciver soubds great especially with music which ia the reasob i boyght it. Howver, dirac js bert frustrating to setup either to quiet or i have clipping, but infinallt got it figuesd out and my systems sounds better than it ever has before (upgraded from an Anthem, which was also good). However, the UI is pretty bad, therejs a tiny display that is useless from the couch and there is an app that is clunky but works. The reason this gets 3 stars ks the way they decised to manage ARC, which is insane. So ARC works, but jf you switch to abother input you cannot switch back to diaplay (what they call the ARC input). There is NO button for it ao you have to get into thr menu or use the app which is absolutely insane. There is no solution other than not using ARC and using a toslink or buying an after market remote and programming a macro that scrolls through the menu to switch bad to the input. Its such a pain im considering returning the receiver. It does sound great however…

Outstanding unit for home AVR. Best in class decoding. Extremely low sound floor. Plus, this also plays 2-channel stereo like a $5k unit. Arcam is blowing away my expectations. Can run up to four subs on this unit. Definitely add an amp for harder to drive speakers. Dont go without the Durac sub control upgrade.

I came across this receiver while window shopping and noticed this model that was $600 off, open-box +/_. After looking into Arcam I was sold. Product came in pristine condition and performs beautifully. As others have mentioned it is not for the beginner, unless you enjoy digging into REW and learning about what makes some better than others, it may not be for you. This is my 3rd receiver and still consider myself very much the noob but learning its capabilities is half the fun for me.

Purchased unit alittle complicated to set up definitely not a novice unit or plug and play .Getting dirac installed was a adventure did all the work and microphone and avr wont communicate.Sound was better hooked up to Kef speakers I wouldn’t recommend to a novice,

I absolutely love my Arcam AVR11! Listening to music on it is a pleasure—the sound is rich and full, like it’s made just for my ears. For movies, it’s equally amazing, making every scene feel immersive and powerful. I’m genuinely pleased with this purchase; it’s everything I hoped for and more.

Love the sound, an upgrade from Denon for sure. Be patient and prepared to spend some time setting this unit up (unless you're an expert audio guy, which I'm not). Thank goodness for AI, you have to be careful and question the answers you get, AI is right over half the time which is still great. I would have given this unit 5 stars but it's hard to do based on how long it takes to program it and its a little glitchy which I'm willing to tolerate because the sound is so good. This is my surround sound system only, I keep my stereo system separate just because it's not the easiest to transition between the two worlds. This is my second Arcam amp (using an A25+ for the stereo room) so Im obviously committed to the brand. Again I'm not an expert audio guy but for my sound tastes this unit paired with KEF speakers and an RSL sub can't be beat, at least for me it is!

The Arcam receiver provides exceptional high fidelity music that will satisfy the person seeking a great music player from a surround sound home environment unit and the quality of surround sound dialogue and overall Dolby Atmos sound is excellent. Now the bad news, the receiver is really temperamental and regularly does not respond to remote control input requiring a reboot of the receiver manually anytime you have not turned on unit for more than 48 hours while on standby. In addition, the unit seems to have occasional difficulty processing switching over from Cable to Apple TV or any other devise you may connect to them receiver, The problems with the unit working well with basic mainstream components such as cable box is really a problem for such a high end unit and I will likely end up returning the unit despite great sound quality when it does work, Arcam engineers really got to go back and figure out what issue is and fix it,

This is great for the price (got it on sale). Listen to it at Best Buy while I was there to purchase the Yamaha A6A. The salesman, then played the Marantz, along with the Yamaha. This clearly sounded better than the Yamaha A6A. An marginally better than the Marantz C 30. I was sold, sound better and half the cost. The two reasons I'm not giving 5 stars is the appearance & the on screen display.

Arcam AVR and integrated amos have very good sound there is no doubt about it, they are pricey and not easy to setup also, reading the reviews i was mentally ready for issue to myvsurprise i didnt encouter any, setup dine in 45 minutes, the FW was latest and no need for update, web setup took few minutes only, for earc from Tv maake sure eArc is output to 1 and cec on, smart tv will switch avr to display input automatically and dolby atmos or dolby digital will be availble, sound is incredible with clarity and sepration between channels. I got is on sale price but without sale price is high for most people, for me power is plenty i am using two fronts with Parasound halo a23 plus amp. Have not done dirac yet, no issue with hdmi swithcing between Blu-ray and Appletv. I am very imoressed with sound qulaity specially 2 channel music

Nice sound but very difficult to get connected to WiFi (need Ethernet cable and then use laptop to connect to the device via its IP address). Mine also had an overheating issue when playing super loud to my r3 metas (like club level loud to be fair).

I read mixed reviews about the Arcam, especially regarding user-friendliness of the setup. That's somewhat true, but it has a very good web interface that you can open from a laptop or iPad to configure pretty much all the options. The feature I liked most is that it comes with a DIRAC license. This is my first time using a DIRAC setup, and the difference with the same speakers is amazing. I was previously using a Marantz SR5015, which was also very good. That said, I'd say the Arcam AVR11 is a step ahead in the quality of dialogue and bass from the center channel — possibly due to DIRAC. Overall, I'm very happy with the purchase!

One of the best sounding amplifiers I've heard. Settings allow you to fine tune based on the equipment your using to deliver optimal sound. Plenty of power to drive whatever your poison. All your audio needs will be exceeded with this amp!

For the money, a little guy should have come in the box for set.uo. Underated power. No video upscale. No on screen set up. Sret it up yourself with a meter or a tape mesure then buy the sound configuring program, but they provided a mic.

Very pleased with the ARCAM AVR11. However, they could have done better with the schematics

I have several units in my home. I own McIntosh as well as Anthem and I was initially very skeptical about the Arcam brand and more specifically this unit. I paired it with Martin Logan ElectroMotion and a great Martin Logan center channel ane a few B&W satellites in my loft area and love the results.

When it works, it sounds amazing. For me it intermittently cuts out the sound to my speakers. Am in the process of trying to get Arcam to replace it. Got this open box in “excellent” condition, but I’ve had problems. Unfortunately I’m beyond the return window from Best Buy. Also, not a very user friendly interface. Sounds fantastic, but glitchy for me.

Love this receiver. Just bought it on sale for over 1,000 off and I’m thrilled. I had the Avetage A2A and had nothing but handshake issues. Got tired of it and found this on sale. I have an Arcam two channel integrated and it sounds incredible in my man cave. This one sounds just as good and movies are incredible. I have it set up with 4 KEF Q350’s a KEF center, and two SVS Pro 1000 subs. And a Sony 75 inch. For my theater room. Absolutely stunning for a 5.2 set up. And 4 channel stereo sounds incredible as well. Tough to set up if you don’t know what you’re doing.

Sonically, this unit is amazing. The remote requires some effort to learn all the capabilities of this receiver. Had issues using Dirac live, so i am anxious to hear the improvements once it is dialed in.
