Arcam AVR11 is a champ.
Outstanding unit for home AVR. Best in class decoding. Extremely low sound floor. Plus, this also plays 2-channel stereo like a $5k unit. Arcam is blowing away my expectations. Can run up to four subs on this unit. Definitely add an amp for harder to drive speakers. Dont go without the Durac sub control upgrade.

Fantastic
I came across this receiver while window shopping and noticed this model that was $600 off, open-box +/_. After looking into Arcam I was sold. Product came in pristine condition and performs beautifully. As others have mentioned it is not for the beginner, unless you enjoy digging into REW and learning about what makes some better than others, it may not be for you. This is my 3rd receiver and still consider myself very much the noob but learning its capabilities is half the fun for me.

Purchased unit alittle complicated to set up definitely not a novice unit or plug and play .Getting dirac installed was a adventure did all the work and microphone and avr wont communicate.Sound was better hooked up to Kef speakers I wouldn’t recommend to a novice,
