Sharpen your blades and prepare for war with fast-rising USA black metal export Stormruler! The St. Louis-based two-man project - featuring the dark lyrical genius and deft skill of guitarist/vocalist Jason Asberry and drummer Jesse Schobel - combines unrelenting black metal atmosphere and vision from varying metal genres with a brutal, modernized twist of inspiration culled from war, high-fantasy and history. Stormruler's blistering debut album, Under The Burning Eclipse, does just that and more, and sees a 2021 re- via Napalm Records. Featuring 19 tracks alternating with ominous instrumental ambience and incendiary black metal riffage and fury, the album tells harrowing tales of war, death, victory and defeat, and delivers an unmatched, hellscaped auditory experience. Creeping in like menacing sonic smoke, instrumental ambient intro track InchShine Of Ivory HornsInch launches directly into opener InchReign Of The Winged DukeInch. Instantly careened into a cascade of blastbeats and infernal riffage, searing vocals top the track as it tells the tale of an immortal magical beast searching for divine power! Under The Burning Eclipse evenly ebbs and flows between warning mystical atmosphere and ghastly action, evident on the likes of blackened headbobbers InchAge Of Steel & BloodInch, InchDawn Of The Eternal FireInch and unrelenting 8+ minute title epic InchUnder The Burning EclipseInch. Standout burner InchOf Hollowed Souls & Distant FlameInch looks to the north with archaic screams and memorable, colossal progressions, while combat-ready tracks like InchAt The Cliffs Of Azure CityInch incorporate ruminations of classic heavy metal combined with scorched, war-torn percussion. The album traverses desolate musical peaks and valleys before closing with the otherworldly brutality of InchFear The Old BloodInch - a non-stop onslaught of black metal attack - and ambient, acou

Arcturus are legend Unparalleled in creativity, musicianship and artistic approach since their foundation days, mastermind Steinar InchSverdInch Johnsen and his cosmic crew consisting of past and present members of bands like Ulver, Mayhem, Dimmu Borgir, Borknagar and Ved Buens Ende have been dancing their very own tightrope between genius and madness ever since. With each of their releases being an interstellar journey of it's own, and always ahead of their time, Arcturus can justifiably be labelled as the epitome of avant-garde metal. InchArcturianInch is Arcturus' first studio album in ten years, and the announcement of it's may take many a fan by surprise. But the first spin of the album will turn doubts into sheer bliss. As the title indicates, Arcturus return with their quintessential work. Veined by the band's generic boundless creativity, InchArcturianInch is a setting-to-music of both the sublime and beauty of outer space, uniting grandeur and filigree in their inimitable way, yet always being daring and unpredictable, just as the magnificent artwork designed by Costin Chioreanu in close collaboration with the band. With what is doubtlessly their strongest album of the millennium, Arcturus prove once and for all that for them nothing but the sky is the limit! Knut Magne Valle says on the album Inch'Arcturian' contains elements from entire Arcturus' history and as a result it is both harder and softer than ever before. We went back to real drums, real strings and 'first take' improvised guitar solos to give it an authenticity and life that not many records tend to have these days. We worked hard to mix the old Arcturus sound into the newer material and the result was We obtained a more homogeneous, mystic Arcturus sound picture.Inch
