I don't understand what Arlo is thinking with this mount. It's called "Total Security" yet is easily disassembled at the ball joint tensioner ring and the camera can be stolen in ~5 seconds. More on that below. Second, Arlo's two "security screws" where one keeps the base plate secured to your mounting surface and the other keeps the camera locked in the housing are just common allen screws...not even the security version of an allen screw where there is a post in the middle. These two things are gross oversights of a "total security" mount. Plus it's all plastic, although higher quality, still plastic. Even the base you mount to your surface with screws. That could have easily been metal so someone couldn't just rip it off and crack the plastic. Could it be useful to some, maybe, but it's overpriced and poorly engineering. To give more detail about the ball joint tensioner ring (the piece with the raised finger grips that you turn to tighten the ball joint), this is just a threaded plastic piece that tightens down to keep the ball joint in the desired position. All someone has to do is unscrew it and that piece, the ball joint, housing and camera all come off leaving behind the base plate assembly. It takes 5 seconds. There is a small hole (see pictures) in the base part as well as a plastic tab in the tensioner ring that I believe allows for a tiny screw to be inserted from the back side of the base part where the threaded part of the screw pokes through and into the tensioner ring area. The screw would catch that tab preventing no more than one rotation of the tensioner which should allow you to adjust the ball joint, but not remove it altogether. Here's the issue though, no where in any provided instructions, online documentation, or installation videos does it discuss this hole. No extra screw is provided as it clearly list the contents of the box on the side and in the instructions and this screw isn't included. I contacted Arlo about it, explained the issue clearly, made two separate videos for them clearly showing and explaining the issue. Multiple (5+) Arlo support techs worked on my ticket and none could understand what I was talking about. It was like they have no clue about their own products and have never used/handled them. I thought at one point one person understood and said he was working with their engineers to send me the correct screw. Several days went by and I received a 3-pack of screws and drywall anchors in the mail that are for mounting the wall/base plate to your mounting surface. Good job Arlo. Don't call it Total Security when it's not even close to that. These mounts were returned.

easy to set up and very easy to adjust. would like to be able to charge the battery while still in the mount without shifting to magnetic charges but understand the tradeoffs.

The Total Security Mount is certainly more secure than the standard mounts that come with the Arlo cameras. They would be better with a proprietary or unique "key" or tamper proof screw, instead of the small hex screw that's provided. The total angle of movement allowed by the mount is somewhat limited, especially in the vertical direction. This is improved by the available ceiling adapter (sold separately), but the adapter does not come with secure/tamper proof screws. If you want those, you'll need to go to your local hardware store and pick up some torx screws or similar.

This is by far the best mount that I have found for my cameras. Allows you to adjust then tighten it down to lock it in place. There is a special key to screw the mount down to the mounted collar and to be able to release the cam from the mount. The issue I have is the price is expense and if you need to mount it under an eave it requires another part.

When we bought an additional arlo camera to supplment our current system and ensure there were no boind spots around our house, we were a bit irked to find out the single camera didnt have an anti theft system and it was just a press of a button. This would be great for other things but not as an outdoor supplement camera. Luckfuly we found the anti theft mount could be purchased and used. Now our house is secure and all of cameras are now too. We do wish ot was a tad bit cheaper or the camera just came with one though.

I've used these mounts on all of my Arlo Ultra 2 and Pro 4 cameras. They are easy to install and use but do a great job of securing the cameras to the wall.

Solid secure base. A bit tricky to install. Read instructions thoroughly.

Love these cameras! So easy to setup with the app and to install. I do prefer the regular mount as opposed to the magnetic especially in areas where the camera is easily reached. Video quality is great. Love the audio feature but do wish the audio on cameras was louder. Great security cameras for your home!

Probably does what it is supposed to if you have the Arlo 3 without the Floodlight. When I couldn't get it to work, Arlo informed me that this is incompatible with the Floodlight. Now I'm stuck with a Security Cam/Floodlight that can be removed with the push of a button, and the only way to mount it to see the area I wanted puts it within hand's reach of a 5' tall person.

This would be the best mount to purchase for the Arlo Pro 4 Spotlight camera. It will definitely not fit the Arlo Pro 3 Floodlight camera. Arlo needs to come up with a similar mount for that one.

Just like the ones that come with the Best Buy 3-pack. With they made them in Black as well, for individual sale.

Great way to upgrade your Arlo camera mount for security.

Makes the camera so much secure you don’t have to worry about it coming off unless you want it to. Definitely worth paying the extra.

Upgraded from older model, very easy to install and add to existing system

Not a bad product just unclear information on the instructions also can’t mount upside down to get good angle. Also lock looks like a regular Allen wrench could open it over all a decent product just not worth the price.
