I am very happy with this cable modem / router. My other cable modem was behaving intermittently after what I believe was a lightning related surge. I was able to retire it and my Wi-Fi router with this device, which does both. Also it gets me to Wi-Fi 6. It is working perfectly and set up was a breeze. It is compact and visually pleasing.

Have long used Arris modems in my homes and work. Decided to upgrade my equipment this spring and decided on another Arris modem and could not be more pleased. I did call tech support to help me get in bridge mode and they were quick and efficient on the telephone call. Now I get gigabit speeds that I was lacking and prefer to use my own router setup not having to deal with a specific internet provider. I would highly recommend.

This is my first purchase of a arris surfboard cable WiFi modem router and could admit it was easier than expected to install plus I was able to download the app log in credentials were not an issue. I’m able to log in my account with no issues unlike my previous WiFi cable modem router. The only thing you gotta do is contact your internet connection provider to see if the device your interested is compatible with their network.

Very compact, which was necessary for my situation. Being used in approximately 800 sf space where reception can be spotty for internet and cell phone. This was bought as a replacement for an earlier Arris unit which had worked well. Installed more than a month ago. Running beautifully. Great value for a reasonable price. Arris customer service *can* be a little difficult to work with, so be persistent.

I bought the Arris SURFboard Modem to replace the Xfinity modem I had been renting from them at an extravagant cost per month. It's been one of the best purchases I've made, because it has paid for itself and saves me money every month...and it works perfectly! Thanks Arris--and thanks BestBuy for this, well, best buy!

I've had this Arris for almost a year now and so far, it's been holding up well. The reliability is great. With multiple devices connected, we've had no problems. Setup was easy (no issues with the Arris, provider needed to do their part) but overall, it was a worthwhile buy.

I thought it would be faster than my old one but is actually takes longer for the tv to turn on and when charging streaming apps. For the money it’s doable.

The setup process was easy and straight forward. The most difficult party was getting through to Cox technical support. The real star of the show is the router's WiFi strength. You have 2.4ghz and 5ghz bands to choose from, the ARRIS DOCSIS 3.1 G34 model gets the 5G signal EVERYWHERE with full strength I use 2.4ghz for a Brother printer I have. The router is located behind the tv in my living room and the wifi signal is amazing: in the bedrooms, the bathroom, kitchen you name it. I recommend this modem/router.

Amazingly smooth installation after contacting your ISP. No unusual software issues compared to our past modem installs. We experienced an 8x increase in download speed, 2x upload.

This modem/router works perfectly for my needs. I live in a small one-story house, and this provides a strong connection for the entire space. It was simple to set up and there's an app with instructions if needed. I ended up calling their customer support because of an error I made, and they were extremely helpful and kind. If you need a simple modem/router, this is a great product for the price.

I'm impressed how one small Box can replace a Router and Modem and still get me faster Internet exit. As well my Picture on the TV is so much clearer, brighter Colors even without CableBox. I got rit if thst too. Ps for the Setup i recommend a Geek Squad team member

Losing signal frequently. Not covering much area. I would’ve purchased different one.

So far so good, works better than my old one. Got tired of Spectrum telling me I need my modem updated, and after several attempts to swap it with Spectrum (Long lines in the store) I decided to just buy my own and will return their equipment when I feel like waiting in line for over an hour lol. I am only using this as a Modem and not using the router features as I already have a wireless router. I did find instructions online to disable the routing functions and only use as a modem. I looked this info up before making my purchase. Will use as a spare if my wireless router ever dies. While switching the settings to Modem only, I did notice the interface seems a bit slow with navigation. Loads the different pages very slow which is not fast enough for my liking, however since I only need this as a modem. Once configured, I have no need to go back into the settings. All and all, my speeds are defiantly faster. I wish spectrum would give me faster upload speeds as 11 Mbps is a bit slow for my needs. No fault of this device, it works as it should.

If you're looking for something that's plug and play, go elsewhere. The only information included in the box is a 4"x6" page of information plus some safety tips. If you have questions, good luck in finding answers on the website. The web links aren't the best - in fact some send you to a company not associated with ARRIS as far as I can tell. Once set up, it works, but you have to understand protocols to pick the right set up. It was a frustrating process to get started.

Before getting the Arris Surfboard, the Motorola router/modem previously purchased lasted 4 years and 8 months before it started randomly disconnecting. With the updates to the modem/router combos, it was time for a new one. So far the Arris Surboard works great! The only difference I notice is occasionally when the wi-fi is used, if there is an interruption of service, devices on wi-fi will not connect. But the blue light indicator on the Arris combo does not indicate an interruption. The old Motorola would display the interruption instantly. That function was appreciated on the Motorola. There was a display on the front with arrows of input/output, a little globe and other indicators to let you know right away if there was an issue. The Arris is basic in that it will have colors and blinking when powering on, but that's about it. Other than that. It works as it should at a little over a month old. Easy set up. Though if you don't want to rely on wi-fi and connect, the Arris Surfboard does not come with that cable. Luckily I kept the cable from the Motorola. Aside from the cable needed, contact your internet service provider for the connection to the combo and you're set.
