Ashes and Diamonds - Are Forever - COMPACT DISCS [CD]

Starting out as Ashes in the mid-1960's, then morphing into the popular Peanut Butter Conspiracy before emerging as The Ashes once again, this time featuring female lead vocalist Pat Taylor, The Ashes recorded their one and only album in 1969 featuring a band lineup of Pat Taylor (vocals); John Merrill (guitar, vocals); Al Brackett (bass, vocals) and Jim Voight (drums). Sounding like a rootsier version of the Jefferson Airplane, the lone Ashes LP has been a favorite of rare psyche and 60's rock collectors for many years. Finally available in the digital domain, all selections have been newly re-mastered.

Little Richard - Georgia Peach [COMPACT DISCS] date 08/05/1991

Calling downtown Toronto their home, but criss-cross the continent for weeks on end, armed with little more than their brand of original hard rock, their gear and a dream. With their third album Never Wanna Die the band continues to modernize their heavy rock n' roll sound. This time, multiple Juno award-winner Eric Ratz (Monster Truck, Billy Talent) is in the producer chair. Remaining true to their sound, Diemonds takes lyrics that speak to the outcasts, wild childs, and misfits, and combines them with a hard-hitting live show, taking cues from the greats they look up to. Priya Panda, the bands front woman, is the sultry singer that the music world has never been so poised for. With her larger-than-life presence, she breaks every cultural, social, gender and sexual boundary known to hard rock. If the ever-growing legions of the band's loyal following are any indication, Diemonds are firmly carving their own path in music and hordes of rock fans are already along for the ride.
