I love this Asus monitor. Excellent picture when playing pc games such as Steam. There different picture modes to choose from. And you can also sync in your PS3 and Ps4 via 1 hdmi. If it only has 2 hdmi ports. For my Asus GU502 laptop at 144hz 1080p, the monitor refresh rate the same. Since it also has display port. But I don't have a heavy desktop. I still use hdmi output from my laptop, and added an extra peripheral. Such as an hdmi-dvi converter from rocketfish I bought used. The only downside is the audio. It has 2 headphone jack. But sound quality is excellent if you use kliptch 2.1 audio soundsyste. Computer speakers. Or you can substitute using Sony portable xb-40 speaker. Last option, get a home audio surround sound. Has hdmi built in that works. Overall this Asus 27" inch gaming monitor is a must have. Plus you can exchange the height and tilt it as well.

I was using a gaming laptop to play my favorite game (OVERWATCH) and was restricted to 60 Hz refresh rate. Hooked this bad boy using the display port (monitor comes with display port cable but I had to buy one with a mini display connector end) and have had no issues. The picture is crisp and smooth and the monitor looks sleek (and is light). It’s made of mostly plastic but high quality and for the price point, you can’t really beat it. I highly recommend this monitor but warn you that it will spoil you forever and you will not be able to go back to 60 Hz games.

Excellent size, color and features for the Black Friday price.

Paid $199 each (Xmas sale) for two of these VG279Q 144 Hz 1080 monitors and I added them to my existing $699 PG279Q. They are nearly identical form factor so they look perfect as wings for my primary 165hz 1440 version in a triple monitor setup. When I play First Person Shooters I use my center monitor at full 165 Hz and 1440 with the two side monitors for Steam, web surfing, and Discord, etc. Then when I do flight sim or driving, I run the center monitor at 144 Hz and 1080 to match the less expensive side monitors. Then I stretch the image for a super immersive experience. I was thinking of getting a 49" but triple 27" gives me more visual real estate and I can easily drive all three of them with one 2080Ti video card. Only VR is more immersive. You could do what I am doing with three of these but for FPS I like the extra bang I get from the PG279Q in the center even if it is not really necessary. Anyway, I highly recommend this setup. It rocks!

I bought one in 2019 and it’s seriously my favorite! I ended up buying another a few months later and they’re AMAZING still working from 2019! now I want to buy a 3rd for my gaming experience ! Highly recommend this monitor

Performers very well and nice colors. Would definitely recommend for a middle ground between production and gaming at 144hz. Pictured on the right.

Very fast at 144hz and smooth , color quality is okay but can do better if you need a screen for photography or video editing do not do this one, this is gaming and 1080p only

ASUS makes some very fine monitors. From the build quality to the picture quality. A great monitor for both work and leisure. I highly recommend this to all who are looking for higher frames for their gaming sessions.

I needed a smaller monitor or tv for gaming in my office. Based on my size limits, a Best Buy representative recommended this. I play my XBOne on this monitor (mostly shooters). It has been perfect. I sit back away from the monitor and can easily still see. I prefer this monitor to my old ~50 inch Panasonic tv I had gamed on for years. Beautiful graphics. Sometimes I notice the screen looking wavy when it’s been sitting on a title screen, but it goes away..

Asus makes the best gaming components. The stand is super high quality. Tilt rotate height adjustment everything you could need. Colors are accurate and there’s no ghosting either.

I have had a dell monitor for over 4 years now, and thought I needed an upgrade for gaming and art purposes. I have had a lot of thoughts of what I wanted. What I liked about my dell monitor was the fact that it was sturdy but sleek. So getting this Asus, with all the same aspects that I liked about my last monitor but much better regarding the specs. I’d recommend this to anyone who is looking for something basic and affordable with high performance.

I’m using this monitor for gaming. Perfect so far.

The Good: Good picture Adjusts approx: 5" up or all the way down to the base. The Bad: Monitor is a little wider then I needed for home use. But boy does it make the online print newspaper easy to read. and the Ugly: Terrible, Terrible Speakers, they could have left them out for what good the are. I added external speakers from my Microsoft docking station, love them.

Montior works great bright colors rotation accessible only issue was it didn't support 120hz on my PS5. So that's the only reason I exchanged it for a gigabyte Monitor with does support that. Lady at the counter has been getting a lot of returns for the same reason so I would consider doing some research before purchasing.

This monitor has been amazing. No complaints. Worth every penny. It's been two years since purchase and not once has it given me an issue. Love it.

I’m giving four stars not because this monitor isn’t to my likeness. My five stars are not earned easily. This Monitor is awesome and sleek. The interface is roomy and the design is beatific. I actually bought two of this. I use this monitors for stock trading and so far the refresh velocity is awesome.

Great product, I will definitely buy another one.I definitely recommend it two people.

Really great monitor paired with a 3069 Graphics card any game looks really good. Only pet peeve are the speakers but you can always add some other ones.
