I bought this about five months ago and was excited about its diversity in uses as not only a charger, but a quick ability for me to plug into a tv through HDMI while traveling for work. It’s also compact so I can store it in the little pouch in my case and charge when flying. Shortly after a couple uses I started having issues with it falling completely out of power sockets once it gets a little warm. I’ve completely given up using it in the airplane sockets. Even if I am able to hold the charger in the socket with my leg or a bag, if it is not a perfect flush fit it won’t charge at all. After all of that, my favorite part is the sparks it throws from the prongs. You've got to make sure the fit into the socket is perfect and it doesn't move at all because if you don't get it right it will spark wildly throwing them up to 6” from the device. Which is the other reason I opted not to use this on a plane full of people at 5 miles high…… If you have already purchased this device I would not recommend leaving it plugged in unattended as it may start a fire. In the end this product offered everything I wanted and would have been perfect if not for the flaw in its rotating prongs.

Use for my Rog ally & a 3rd party one with Ethernet is way better for a 3rd of the price, this thing constantly flickers through the hdmi output makes it hard to really enjoy anything without getting frustrated & I actually really like my rog ally thought a product from the same company would fulfill my needs in a better way sadly I was mistaken

It does what it needs to do. Just plug in the cables and it works.
When i plug it in. The darn thing sparks on the metal prongs where it rotates. While it charging it randomly wil stop working if i can get it working at all.

ASUS is an ISO certified company, and as a result, all products go into a strict quality manufacturing standard. All ASUS products undergo intensive quality control testing and inspections that ensure each one is trouble-free. The spark on the charger is a random problem, ensure the device is plugged-in to a working and properly grounded power source. If the charger is faulty, we recommend to contact your vendor for a replacement. If it is out of the replacement period, send the product in for service to determine if this is a hardware issue so this may be resolved immediately. I have the weaker 60w version and it works great but this larger one has issues keep a steady display and gets crazy hot to the touch.

Don't really have anything negative to say about this. It's got a premium heavy feel to it. Comes with a USB C cable as well. I'd recommend this if you want a quick charger for your Xbox ROG Ally X and use the 65W adapter it comes with as a travel charger. I checked for updates in Armory crate while it was plugged in and didn't see anything. It does fast charge compared to the 65W.

Certainly, this charger will charge your ROG Ally without problem. To resolve this charging issue, ensure your ROG Ally is running with the most current BIOS version, ensure you use the included C-to-C cable and hold the power button for 45+ seconds to reset the USB-C port, or toggling "Battery Care" in "MyASUS".
