Not only is this product a monster in size but the range, signal strength and speeds it can handle is absurd. Highly recommended for your space ship of a PC and family of devices.

The experience with this flagship router wasn't ideal. The GT-BE19000AI now supports AFC and works very well; the 6GHz band is extremely fast and reaches almost as far as the 5GHz band. However, there are two unresolved troublesome issues with this router: 1. it constantly gets stuck at a blank page after login. ASUS has yet to identify the cause of this bug. 2. if you enable Adaptive QoE or malicious site blocking / tracker blocking, etc., some devices' 6GHz speed drops from close to 2000Mbps to just 400Mbps. ASUS has identified this issue but doesn't have an ETA for the fix. Overall, I don't think the extra features from this router is worth it over the previous flagship GT-BE98 Pro. Other than AFC and a 4GB RAM, the GT-BE98 Pro offers a far more stable and pleasant experience. Plus, it's 33% cheaper.

I’m kind of disappointed at the moment because I thought this came with AFC out the gate, but it did not have to wait for the update which who knows when that is honestly also, I have the previous flagship router, the rapture 98 pro and I feel like that one has a strong stronger signal, but whenever this firmware updates and enable the AFC (automatic frequency control) it should be a better signal it reaches my PC on a 6 GHz band all the way across my house, but the new one does not but currently it is a weaker 6 GHz signal range compared to the previous model. I would wait until that particular update comes out. I bought it too early because I’m stupid. And I thought it had AFC on it day one That is the only reason that I give it four stars and the price is also outrageous.

I am using ASUs router for a long time now and the initial setup got better and better each time. The first setup with this AI router was a breeze, a firmware update was offered and went without any problems. Time will tell but so far, I love this router especially the range is the strongest I had so far. I set AFC and adaptive QoE and it has been beautiful so far. I always place my router on a cooling pad since it is running 24/7 and cool chips are happy chips.

I have wanted for some time now to setup an IOT network and to isolate my work PCs. Not having much IT experience, I knew I was in for a headache. Honestly it was not so bad, the GUI assumes that you know things like DHCP; Overall the setup was easy enough. This router is very fast, even with three gaming consoles, streaming service, voice, gaming PC and two work PCs there is no noticeable lag. The included AI software suit is very nice and has no subscription fees. Within the GUI it even gives you a health monitor and shows you ways to make your network more secure. What is also nice, is that once you do create an IOT VLAN you can also broadcast that VLAN to WIFI within the same network which makes things like bridges and HUBs able to talk to each other without going outside of their own VLAN. This is by far the best router that I have owned. P.S. This router went on sale three days after I bought it, I called BestBuy and they refunded me the difference right away no problems. WAY TO Go........ BestBuy!!!!!!!!!!!!

Excellent update from my old AC-series quad band. Given I very much leverage guest SSID and VLAN capabilities, had to adjust a bit in going from quad to tri, but given the extra is on the 6GHz side that isn't leveraged much these days by devices, it wasn't huge. Plus the internal limits on things like whitelisting tables jumped 4x, so it wasn't hard to massage some settings. Stability has been good. AFC is functional albeit current instantiations leverage a daily pulse of a mobile device to poll GPS coordinates. The router has a barometric sensor for altitude that marries it all up. Would be nice to have GPS built-in but not commoditized enough yet I gather, or concerns over blocked sat data. Not using much of the AI side of the system (yet) but AI is tied into the Protection system as well as some of the live analytics. Also seems to save the trending data over to non-volatile memory there, which is nice since the other routers would reset such things every reboot or firmware update.

I’ve been very happy with the ASUS ROG Rapture GT-BE19000AI. Range and overall performance have been great. My home is two stories, with the router located in the basement, and I am still seeing excellent speeds and strong signal on the second floor, including on the 6 GHz channel. That level of coverage is impressive and something I've seen with previous routers. My network includes one gaming PC, one home server, two laptops, and roughly 25 IoT devices. Even with this mix of high bandwidth and always connected devices, performance has been consistently fast and stable, with low latency and no congestion issues. Speeds are excellent across all bands, and performance matches what you’d expect from a flagship Wi-Fi 7 router. Gaming, large transfers, and simultaneous device usage all work flawlessly. A major highlight is AFC support. Being able to fully utilize the 6 GHz band at higher power levels makes a noticeable difference in range. Firmware has been stable so far and I haven’t run into any issues. There aren’t many routers with AFC support yet, so if that’s something you want, this one is worth considering. The biggest downside is the price, it’s definitely too expensive. I also don’t really use or care about the AI features, but ASUS did upgrade the hardware compared to the GT-BE98 Pro, which is nice to have.

This is the best wireles router currently available. Full stop. It has some "sour grapes" perception in the enthusiast crowd, but many of those perceptions are from people who do not actually own it. I've found it nothing short of exceptional. Is it expensive? Yes. Is it overkill? Probably. Do I use any of the "AI" features.. ehh not yet but I like the idea that there is an NPU for that quickly evolving landscape. Asus has been pushing regular firmware updates, AFC is working and provides a notable improvement. MLO seems to be fussier, some devices really benefit (~20% mobile phones) PC wifi 7 NICs don't seem to capture a huge bump. Setup was easy enough (15 year Asus user) UI much improved, mobile app is actually quite good. Segregating smart home devices to sandboxed subnet is easy, though still some typical fussiness joining those devices (not due to Asus hardware). I have this setup with BT10 nodes with wired 10gbe backhaul. I'd suggest the BT10 vs the BQ16 because the quad band of the BQ16 would cause confusion in the wireless network. With this main router and the BT10 mesh I have full bars wifi 7 across my tri-level home (and also across the street, ha!). If you have the money, it's worth it. However the BE-98 unquestionably the better overall value if you have to stretch at all.

Extremely Fast, Capable, Asus built something amazing here. The NPU isnt just fluff, does its job well. Love the new Asus UI and firmware. This router can take EVERYTHING you can throw at it and then some, I have all 3 bands turned on, 2 hardwired mesh nodes and 100+ devices connected, stable as a rock, not a single reboot since i bought it. Even looks amazing!

It started out ok, but then as the ai kicked in over the days it got worse and worse. Wi-Fi would shut down while LANs worked. Main GUI dashboard no longer worked, just a blank background screen. Then as I started to use the built in Home assistant, I discovered it was a stripped down version.... no add-on menu, etc. Even the matter ad-on did not exist. I tried ASUS tech support and it all stumped them. They did not even know what a matter URL was to add it. Each time I did a starlink passthrough, the router stopped being responsive in about an hour. I returned it about a week after no response form tech support. I finally got my 5th email, "still working on it." I notified I returned and then they immediately responded , closed ticket. I went with the BE98PRO and life has been wonderful.

This router works great out of the box. I setup a separate vertual network for my home automation and another one for my test iot modules. I have Home Assistant running in a container. It is working great! This router has A Lot of features. I'm still playing around with all the settings and powerful features. Excellent coverage in my house even from the second floor down to the basement. Super fast wireless connection. Surprisingly easy to configure and to setup. Great YouTube videos out there that help with configuration. I was forced to buy another router because my other top-of-the line router (only 4 years) from a different manufacturer was at end-of-life and the company stopped providing support. I had to pay a yearly subscription for internet protection. Glad I don't have to do that anymore! I have not experienced any issues with this router. I highly recommend!

The product was working properly for 3 months, but on April month four, it started to show no internet access, it was possible to connect to the SSID, but no internet access. Checking the router logs it keeps showing rc_service: amas_lib 5472:notify_rc restart_ark_iam, several times in the same second and sometimes after few seconds. I tried to do a factory reset first to the AI section, but it keep failing and it was never set to factory default, then I did the factory reset to the router, it was performed, but now I cannot connect to the default SSID, if I connect to it using a port, it assigns an IP, but the admin portal is not reachable. So now I have a very expensive device, Best Buy team indicates I need to contact the manufacturer for warranty, and the manufacturer indicates, I need to contact Best Buy. So, now I have a very expensive router, that cannot do even the very basic after just four months. This is my first time buying an ASUS product and it is my very first time having this kind of support problems with Best Buy. I thought ASUS was a good brand. And I thought this router was going to be an excellent router...

Dear AlexG,
Thank you for your feedback.
We do understand your disappointment with the router and the inconvenience this may have caused if you started experiencing internet connection problem after three months of usage. To resolve this connection problem, check if your ISP's internet service or connection is working properly or stable by checking the LED or activity lights on your ISP's modem or gateway. Try to power cycle both ISP's modem and the router. Also, we recommend updating the router's firmware if it is running with an older version. Firmware is available for download at: https://rog.asus.com/networking/rog-rapture-gt-be19000ai/helpdesk_bios/. After a successful firmware update, check your ISP's and the router's settings, ensure security credentials matches on both devices.
Indeed, ASUS is a good brand. We(ASUS) are an ISO certified company, and as a result, all products go into a strict quality manufacturing standard. All ASUS products undergo intensive quality control testing and inspections that ensure each one is trouble-free, this is a random problem. If the problem persist after doing the troubleshooting tips, we recommend you send the product in for service to determine if this is a hardware issue so this may be resolved immediately. An RMA number is required to send it in for service. For RMA details, please go to: https://www.asus.com/us/support/article/818/.

Has been very reliable so far! (~3 weeks of usage). Firmware update is mandatory, don't try and use it before doing that or you'll have a bad time. Docker tools are pretty cool for residential router, but limited compared to more custom setups. Yes it's overkill, but if you just want something easy, reliable, and powerful, it's a good option.

Previously owned the eero top of the line router and every day it would throw my devices off line thinking something was wrong with them. I decided to switch to this new router and everything has been stable since the replacement. The only problem is the price which I traded in another modem for a credit. Other than that it is a very good piece of equipment.

Have had this router for 6 months. Tried many different settings configurations, every firmware version they’ve released, and it still crashes once every day or two. LAN is stable, while wifi constantly crashes and kicks all devices off until the router is fully rebooted. Disabled everything, nothing helps. There seems to be a serious firmware issue with this router. I believe its related to the Broadcom kernel memory handling issue that was affecting many of Asus’s wifi 7 routers, but as I understand it, they’ve patched other models… not this one though. On the bright side, I have 2 gig fiber and it handles that well over ethernet.

Dear David,
Thank you for your feedback.
We do understand your disappointment with the router and the inconvenience this may have caused if you are experiencing unstable wireless connection. To resolve this issue place the router in the center of the area you want to cover, avoid placing the router near metal objects, electronic devices or direct sunlight, position the router on a flat, hard surface and halfway between the floor and ceiling. Additionally, dense building materials, such as gypsum, concrete walls and planks can affect Wi-Fi signal penetration. Verify if the PC or device connecting to the router is working properly and within range to the router, the router is within 30 feet to the ISP's modem, and your ISP's internet service or connection is working properly or stable. Legacy devices may not work properly with WIFI-7, please check updates for these devices. Also, try to disable "Smart Connect" and try connecting this manually to either 2.4GHz or 5GHz. Try resetting router and reconfigure or set up the devices.
Should you need further assistance with the product, please email me at [email protected] and I would be more than happy to help. Excellent router but vastly overpriced. Noticing a bit faster 6GHZ wireless speeds compared to my previous 98 Pro router. Like the first review, I wish it had AFC out of the box but hopefully it won’t take too long to be enabled via a firmware update. The ai features are really neat and not too complicated to set up. Asus has an online tutorial to set everything up. Love the white look and the new white gui. Once the firmware matures, this thing will be a BEAST!
