The HDR turns itself off constantly and requires you to reseat the display cable to turn back on. The fan is the loudest thing in my house, louder than the central air conditioning, the furnace, the laundry machine, everything. The fan doesn't turn off with the monitor, it will still run for 5-15 minutes. The only way to get the fan to turn off is to unplug the power cable to the monitor. The monitor has started turning itself off now (including the fan!?), likely from overheating from nothing more than just being on. I very much enjoy that the monitor wont turn the fan off any other time, but when it overheats it turns it off. It makes so much sense.

ASUS provides warranty coverage,, we recommend that you send the product in for service in order to determine if this is a hardware issue so this may be resolved immediately. own this for a year now. playing games at 144hz hdr is sublime. i don't ever experience "loud fans" or hdr turning off by itself like the last reviewer stated.
