This unit offers excellent coverage in my old,1890s home. I'm going to estimate about 3600 square feet, plus back and front yards. I use it in conjunction with one upstairs repeater in this building, and one repeater in my other attached townhome building. I have other ASUS routers set up as repeaters, but am not using them now. This configuration works pretty well with this router. I had to use a number of more repeaters with my previous routers. Covering two buildings and two sets of yards is pretty good. All of the usual setting up and tweaking things on the online app are pretty usual. I haven't had to go back there for quite some time after getting things the way I want. The router is doing the job and solving the problems I purchased a new router for.

These Asus aimesh routers are the way to go, kickbutt speeds, ease of use, an awesome app that gives full control! I have vpn and security control right in the app! I got my first one pretty cheap, and when i upgraded to this gaming router, i swiched my old one to an aimesh node and now have a pretty overkill network. My roommate is a fan though, we put the node in his room so he could hard wire his xbox, his speed were amazing!

I love the look and design of the router. So far, it seems very reliable, but I’m not noticing a huge difference in performance or stability compared to the WiFi 5 router I was previously using that was provided by my ISP. Maybe I just need to tinker it with a bit and test other things, but I do love the settings and features it comes with. Also love that I can use it as either a WiFi mesh point or access point if I decide to purchase another one.

This is my second time buying an ASUS router. My first one is still up and running and I've had it for about 9 years. Of course it's a different model. After reading up on this model I decided to buy it of course through Best buy, as I live in California and I needed to purchase this for my daughter in Texas. It was very easy to purchase this through my BestBuy app and have my daughter pick it up at a Best buy near her. Asus is very easy to set up with thier software and easy to access the software for their routers. As she set it up I was on the phone with her in case she had questions as I have been teaching her tech for many years. It was very easy for her to set up and adjust everything she needed. The range on the router is very good all throughout her house. Definitely a big thanks to Best buy for the ability to make this happen.

I have always chosen the other brand which shall not be named, but after encountering 3 failures in the past 2 years, I've decided to give ASUS a try. This has been one of the easiest router I've set up, with the Asus App everything is just seamless. I've had this model for over a year or so now, and it still funsctions really well. I am really impressed. I also decided to get the Asus RT-AX82U and set up a MESH in my house. Setup was really easy, everything went thru the app. I thought I'd run into some problems like conflicts or whatever. But the app made everything seamless,..! I am officially an ASUS fan,..! Never had anything Asus before but now, I'm a big fan! It's extremely fast and easy to set up! And also expands to our backyard!

The router was incredibly easy to set up and, in fact, way better than the Netgear Nighthawks I previously used. I'm tech savvy, so my experience might be different from someone less knowledgeable about setting up networks, but this might be my go-to router from now on in all setups. 10/10

I have had 2 other Asus routers. They were awesome but both died in less than 2 years. Then I chose a TP-Link. Iy was good but wanted to try Asus again. This one does not seem to be as good. I can only connect to look at setup thru a wired connection. Some TV's seem to buffer more. We have a good fiber optic internet service, so it isn't that. Also, the range was advertised as much more than the TP-Link, but is less in reality. My overall verdict has yet to be decided.

An absolute ANIMAL! Excellent coverage and speeds on both bands.

Now getting 640 mbps download speed over WiFi on 5ghz leg. Getting 900 on desktop (only have 800 service from Comcast) super happy with this router, head and shoulders above my previous one. Paired it with arris surboard SB8200 modem. Tip for setup, use all the same WiFi names and passwords and your devices automatically work.

This has Lightning quick speed, amazing parental controls and easy set up.

This router has significant range over my older Asus router. Very pleased with Asus. Pricey but well worth the money. Fairly easy to setup and your good to go. Very pleased with this purchase.

Easy to setup, works great. Extended wifi range. Dual channel 2.4 and 5g helped troubleshoot setting up my ring cameras. Which stopped functioning with the garbage optimum router thay was provided.

Great router and software. Configurations are easy to edit and gaming multiplayer connection can be prioritized at an instance!

This router is awesome. It reaches max speed within 10-15ft. Latency is great as well. I recommend this to anyone that wants great speed, distance, and latency.
