This laptop is fast, but one thing that attracted me to it was the backlit keyboard. Do yourself a favor and never buy a backlit silver keyboard. It's really like looking at silver keys. You notice the backlite till you are on top of it looking down. Other wise, if you are looking for a fast laptop, buy it!!! I'm a huge Asus laptop guy, it's the only brand I buy. To me they last longer and have less issues than other brand, in my 50 years of experience. I own a bunch of Asus laptops and 2 Asus Wi-Fi routers, (3000x & 5400). I recommend Asus to anyone. I did use it till 1 hr after dark. It was very responsive and fast. altho I do have Gig internet which helps.

When initially setting up the laptop, make sure that you are connected to Wi-Fi that only requires you to login through the laptop. Some extended stays (like Extended Stay of America) make you bring up another screen before establishing a Wi-Fi connection. That process WILL FAIL when trying to set up your laptop.

Didn’t really work for my use case. Wanted a faster laptop for running Python multiprocessing code. It ran a little slower than a 12th i5. It may be a code optimization issue with Ryzen but I couldn’t get the workarounds described online to fix the I issue. Going back to Intel unfortunately.
