A: Yes it has memory guard. I have had this phone/answering system for 16 months and since I recorded the original outgoing greeting I have never had to re-record.

A: Just follow the directions inside user manual or visit manufacturers website. Additional phones will not include base unit.

A: Apart from the main base unit needing110v and a telephone line, the portable base needing 110v, both phones are cordless.
