About this product
Atlantic was the brainchild of guitarist and songwriter Simon Harrison. Following a successful ghost-writing career and his bands Stranger, Simon wanted to make an album in his favoured AOR/Melodic Rock genre. Heavily influenced by bands like Whitesnake, Journey, Bad English, FM, Heartland and Dare he set about writing the songs that became the first album entitled 'Power'. InchPowerInch was first released as a CD back in 1994 on the Music For Nations tag and subsequently re-released in 2008 on Escape Music (ESM176). Atlantic raised many eyebrows with this which can be ranked alongside bands such as InchHeartlandInch InchDareInch and InchShyInch (Tony Mills also guests on the album!). Band members include Simon Harrison on guitar and keyboards and the great Phil Bates (Trickster/Quill) on lead vocals, guitars and keyboards. The album had so much potential at the time it is a shame that it did not receive the recognition it richly deserved. The band came back with a killer brand new album in 2024 title InchAnother WorldInch also on Escape Music ESM388. A true British Classic!
