These 4" thick panels can be mounted flush against a wall, but are recommended to be mounted across a corner, allowing for the absorption of lower bass frequencies in the back of the panel. Bass absorption is especially important when recording speech or vocals, multi-instrumental music, or listening to high quality speakers in a closed space. These panels feature a Noise Reduction Coefficient (NRC) of 1.28 out of 1.0 making them the industry standard in bass absorption.
