A: The AT897 short shotgun microphone is designed for audio acquisition in film/TV/video production, professional recording, and broadcast applications. The low-cut filter can be engaged to roll off the low-end response to tame unwanted low frequency noise. The microphone does NOT come with a boom pole, just a standard snap-in type stand clamp. The clamp has a standard 5/8"-27 threaded opening for floor stands and a 5/8"-27 to 3/8"-16 threaded adapter is provided to reduce the opening to 3/8" for tri pods and boom poles.
