250 watt, 8-inch powered down-firing subwoofer with auto-sleep power saving mode. Solid hand-finished, front-ported MDF cabinet, dual line-level inputs (RCA and mini-jack) and LFE, selectable crossover frequency adjustment, and phase switch. Frequency response: 27Hz - 180Hz (+/-1.5dB). Elastomer isolation feet to reduce vibrations and resonance. The S8 also features connections for wireless expandability via the Audioengine W3.

All Audioengine powered speakers via the analog output. Compatible with AV receivers or preamps and other powered speakers with variable line level output.
