Q: How does this hook up when there is a left and right on the sub?
A: Plug into the left jack or LEFE jack.
Q: Do you have to use the ground? My marantz has no place for it and neither does the CV subwoofer.
A: Although I found no reference for it I did use the ground wire and just connected each end to any available screw that went into the metal frame. Couldn't hurt anything and I felt better for making the extra ground connection.
