Q: Is this the same as converting to a aux ? Because my tv only has digital out and my speaker set up only uses aux wit this alow me to conect my speakers to my tv?

A: No. The TV output is digital. The speaker's 'AUX' input is analog. The cable cannot convert digital to analog. If the TV does not have an analog output or the speakers do not have a digital input, you need a piece of electronics to convert the digital signal to analog.

Q: Can I connect my receiver to my tv with this cable so my TV's audio will be heard through my speakers?

A: As long as your TV has a TosLInk output and your A/V Receiver has a TosLink input, yes.

Q: Connecting by sound bar

A: Hello, Typically, most sound bars and HDTV's will use a digital optical connection. When connecting the audio output from a TV to an audio input on a sound bar you would most likely be using a full size to full size optical cable. See the recommendation below. The "digital audio output" on your TV may very well be an optical connection as optical is a type of digital audio connection.

Q: I have a short throw projector which has AUX audio output, and my BOSE soundbar 500 which has Digital, will this cable helps ?

A: If the AUX output and the Bose's input are both fiber optic connections, then yes.

Q: I bought a Sonos playbar and found out my LG TV doesn't have an optical audio connecter. Can I buy this cord to work with my TV to the Sonos playbar?

A: If your TV does not have an optical digital out, then a fiber optical cable will not work. If the soundbar has an HDMI input, you could use the TV's ARC HDMI connection.
